Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Philips HTS650 - no sound on USB files

How's it going. I'm useless with this stuff and to make it worse I'm asking on behalf of an even less tech savvy friend. She has a Philips HTS650 TV and when she sticks in the USB key it shows the files but has no sound. The files are .avi and .mp4 If anyone could shed some light on what might be done or what the issue is…

How's it going. I'm useless with this stuff and to make it worse I'm asking on behalf of an even less tech savvy friend.

She has a Philips HTS650 TV and when she sticks in the USB key it shows the files but has no sound. The files are .avi and .mp4

If anyone could shed some light on what might be done or what the issue is I'd appreciate it.

The audio is in some codec not recognized by the TV media player. Either play the file on a laptop or convert the video using a recognised audio codec like mp3.
