Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ooooo, tempted. Probably a load of cheap cables but it could be something amazeballs!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,028 ✭✭✭d31b0y

Oh, it'll definitely be all junk. But as long as I get €17.50 worth of junk, I'll be happy :)

Brilliant. Looking forward to a bag of tat in a few months from now.

So you give them $20 and, after their holidays, they send you a bag of stuff, which may or may not contain something you want, but most likely won't?

The best thing is you'll have forgotten all about it. Christmas in April / May :D

I bought one of these off DX before and it was pretty much a load of rubbish. Cases for phones a couple of toys etc

Thread from previous time for anyone who's curious....

It was a load of muck, and yet I'm somehow tempted again! The crappy Mexico baseball cap is still sitting on the window ledge in the office!

Has no one learned at this stage . how many times have you bought and said never again.

Shakes head and waits for the fallout. :)

Timeless classic, just one of those genuine vids that never gets old. Laughed now just as much as the first time I seen it.

    Ugh... Must resist!

Potential waste of €18.08 (Paypal) but I took a chance.

Was suckered by the Boffer BOC before. At least they had the decency to set my expectations low, not like DX

TBH DX are slow and overpriced.

Their "European" site wasn't much faster, it certainly wasn't cheaper and that's even with the introductory discounts.

do a price comparison on buyincoins when stuff arrives

If nothing else, it's actually great craic when people start getting their boxes and posting what they got. Got some serious laughs out of previous threads.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,815 ✭✭✭imitation

207 suckers now. My fellow suckers, I insist on pictures of all the crap we got, this should at least ease the pain a little bit.

I wonder does anyone actually get anything decent? I remember some of the lucky bags from other websites - not DX, I know Boffer was one - and some of them had really decent stuff in them. Some of the DX ones are hilarious - baseball caps of 3rd world nations, replacement phone cases for phones last seen in 2005, scratched DVD's that don't work, empty boxes, faulty electronics. Literally, DX charging people to take their rubbish.

When are we likely to get these?

    Mid April I'd assume?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 921 ✭✭✭ShaunC

Could be lucky and get a Gillette fusion proglide razor ;)

Not a chance, I hear there is a global shortage of fusion Proglide, envelopes and stamps.

Bargain Alerts at its best, come for the cheap stuff, stay for the bitter recriminations, gnashing of teeth, threats of ridiculous law suits, existential angst and eventual acceptance that we are all eijets when it comes to a lucky bag or obvious missprice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,566 ✭✭✭✭Skerries

bought one and a few cables and stuff, expect the 'bags of air' pictures in April

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,795 ✭✭✭g0g

Thought about it more and decided for the first time ever I'm going to resist! If I had a euro for every random DX product sitting on a shelf or in a drawer at home I'd be a rich man! On that note, if anyone would like a bag of DX crap from me be sure to PM me. € 20 delivered and I guarantee my bag will be better than theirs! You name it I've wasted money on it - watch repair kit, loads of torches, a laser, cables, knives, tools, solar gadgets, the list goes on! :pac:

You're probably right, although I've never actually bought a phone off any of those sites. Seriously though, I wonder how much useless crap off DX and the likes has been accumulated around the houses of Ireland at this stage. I can't open a drawer at home without coming across something I forgot I had! Even on the desk in front of me in work I have a USB fan, a solar windmill, that bl00dy Mexico hat (previous "lucky" bag), a credit card multi-tool, 2 thermometer/hygrometers, a USB Christmas light and a few cables!:o
