    'MAKINGS' SET FOR DEBUT ALBUM RELEASE

    From The Legendary Producer of 'Urban Hymns' Comes 'Cognition', The Highly Anticipated Debut Album from Dublin-Based Electro-Rock Band 'MAKINGS’.

    From the set to the stage, musician/actor Rick Burn ('Game of Thrones', 'Vikings', 'Penny Dreadful') has his artistic plate full as he also fronts the exciting new electro-rock band MAKINGS. The band have just completed the recording of their debut album 'Cognition' with producer/mixer Chris Potter (Blur, U2, The Rolling Stones), which Danny McElhinney of the Mail On Sunday has scored a deserved 4/5, also describing track no. 2 'Heart Attack' as an "Instant Hit". ‘Heart Attack’ has also already enjoyed some pre-release airplay on TXFM, RTE 2FM, RTE2XM, Sunshine 106.8 and Amazing Radio. Makings have also recently released a music video for the second track from that single - 'Man on Fire'.

    November 2014 saw the launch of the single 'DIG' to a near full capacity crowd in The Grand Social, Dublin. Tim Forkster of forksterrocks.net wrote after the show - 'Unquestionably a top class band that deserves high acclaim all the way. (..) Their exceptional overall musicianship as well as their extraordinary array of genre diversity talents from the rock and electronic vibe worlds was nothing short of sensational. They took my ear music modules on tremendous music atmosphere trips to the massive worlds of synth-pop, alternative rock, post-punk era brilliance, 4AD recording artists charms, industrial rock landscapes and then some!’ Makings subsequently became FORKSTER’S Best Electronic Rock Band 2014.

    'Cognition' is due to be released on the 20th February 2015 with a Launch Party taking place in The Grand Social, Dublin on the same date. Makings will then embark on a tour of Ireland & The UK and are expected to announce the dates ahead of The Grand Social show.
