Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Possibly the worst show this season and I have a feeling it is going to get a lot worse after the break

Not at all. There's no excuse for a basic lack of good manners. If he had a problem with the woman, he should have refused to meet her.

but maybe thats how HE views her?? Would you hug every head of state? She has no interest or effect on modern day politics so I think the label "head of state" is rather misleading anyway.

I must be in a minority but I find Ronan very interesting. It's very rare to hear a sports star talking about hating team mates etc. He's honesty means you never know what's coming next (as we just saw!).

It's not lonely in your planet.

Watched his documentary on RTE some time ago, loved it. He is focused, dedicated, droll with a very dry wit.

I was a bit shocked at his remark because I wasn't at all expecting it from him but I don't fall into the finding it offensive category.

    Wtf is DLB?

DLB refers to "Dainty Little Bugger" - which is what Rhys Ifans referred to Tubridy as, on the Late Late Show of October 1st 2010.... interview link here

Agreed. Thought it was very good. I like the way he took a bit of time to think about the answers. Intelligent man. He deserved a longer interview.

It doesn't reflect that well on him, I think. Maybe he was nervous but it doesn't look good.

If Will Carling or whoever did that when being introduced to our President, the angry mob would out in force.

I love the expression on Drico's face in that photo

There wasn't much said when our President was snubbed at the start of the match by the English Captain!

    So what?....

    It didn't bother me personally.

Maybe it didn't bother him either?

And what if the English team met Michael D and did the same? Would ya still not be bothered, or would you think that they could have at least shown some class.

There's times when you just suck it up and do these things

Because she is "The Queen", as one Dub said when she visited a few years ago. She is also the Head of State of our closest neighbours.

She isn't his Queen? Seriously, I think the man is entitled to conduct his manner whatever way he wants. Personally I would probably shake her hands to avoid a "scene" but I dont rever her in any way nor have ANY reason to respect her???

Maybe he does indeed, but the mark of a gentleman is someone who would put all that aside and still show good manners when being introduced to her.....you do not stand with your hands in your pockets when being introduced to a head of state.
