Road builders in Andalucia don't seem to believe in wasting tarmac on switchbacks going up a hill, straight up and over for them, I found plenty of roads like that when I was down there in Oct/Nov, they do make for compelling racing though, really enjoyed the highlights of yesterdays stage.

Most of the last 15km of today's stage was my coffee/recovery spin so it'll be interesting to see the pros burn it up over those roads.

I guess Spain has less money for roads than Ireland

Anyone notice how different Roche's style on the bike yesterday ...completely different to how he sat at TCS ...where were the massive grimaces and the shoulder rocking ?? No out of the saddle swinging from side to side
Looked so much more effiicient and smoother on top and spinning lower down
And when he blew there was no indication he was about to.....before he would have looked like Siobhan McKenna in that play wailing for sons lost at sea

Nico and the Sky boys earned their crust yesterday that's for sure.

I agree, his cadence was also much higher which was good to see, I thought his cadence was always much too low at TCS.

Last few kms. SaxoT stringing things out, whatever the nature of the finish & Contador's need for one big second back.
