Does anyone here have saorview with just an indoor aerial? I want rid of sky but would prefer not to have to get an aerial on the roof. Thanks

I get good quality saorview from a small aerial in the attic.
    Bray area.
You'd get a better response about this in the Terrestial section
    of Boards.

An amplified indoor aerial will be enough.

I get good Saorview on my laptops Saorview receiver with an aerial the size of a biro OP, its very easy to pick up.

It will depend on where you are exactly, and also on your house construction as some materials like foil backed insulation block the signals quite well.

I'm on high ground on the outskirts of Bray and can actually see the 3 Rock transmitter from the front garden but even then I can't get a decent signal on an indoor aerial inside the house. I have an attic aerial though and with that I can pick up both 3 Rock and Mt. Leinster with no problem at all.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry about the delayed response I didn't get a notification and forgot I posted!!

Managed to get a good deal with sky so will stick with them for now.
