External aerial for Saorview

Hi, just wondering how much i need to spend on an aerial for Saorview, in Maynooth area so i think signal coming from Kippure? Does it purely depend on the signal stength available? thanks

Can you see what your neighbours have? Kippure should be to the SE, look on your neighbours' chimneys to see if they have aerials. You certainly won't have a problem with the distance, it's really down to the elevation of your house and whether there are natural obstacles in the way. All going well you shouldn't need anything fancy, the labour of erecting the aerial will be the main expense.
