A volvo s80. Big tank of a yoke, but very comfy. Need to move it on for something smaller and less expensive to run.

Same here. It's a great little car. The only thing I don't like is the spoiler in the middle of the back window.

It doesn't bother me as the wing mirrors are pretty big. I do like my glass roof too!

Love the Saab - always wanted one, that and the old citroen with the big wings and tracking headlghts.

Used to have an uncle (mad as a hare) who had a wolsey like that. There was a trick he used to do which would scare the bejesus out of me.

He'd bomb up to a brick wall at speed. Yank on the handbrake and get out. Funniest/scariest thing. Lovely bloke :(

If there was ever a car I loved to hate - it was that 96.

It was an unreliable heap at the best of times, but when it worked it was a rapid old thing and made a great noise

Diesels engines are nasty, noisy and very polluting.

Think of your kid's lungs ahead of your car tax. NOx and soot from diesels damages tiny lungs just so you can pay a few hundred less in fuel costs per year.

Petrol cars emit CO2 and water vapour. Far safer.

Came here expecting AvB to wax lyrical about his bespoke, possibly vintage, limited-production run motor vehicle, only to discover he drives a glorified repmobile.

Haven't been this disappointed since I found out about Santa. :(

01 VW Beetle. Always wanted one but loved it all the more once I sat in it, they're surprisingly roomy cars. It's a 1.6 petrol and blue.

2001 SAAB 9-3 turbo, Auto gearbox, paid €1000 for it. Engine went in 2008 (known SAAB issue), fixed under warranty, but they couldn't get a new standard engine so they fit a 205 BHP unit out of the 9-5. So it's a real Q-car.

However, the best thing about it is that the first owner was none other than Ronnie Drew, so god knows who has been in it cruising around with him.

If only the bloody thing could talk. :-)

    I'll never sell it.

I see some people aren't actually posting what they really drive.

Well, I drive an unmodified '95 MR2 GT T bar in Red.

    So I do.

In keeping with the general theme of the thread. I may have lied in the above post. However. As of about an hour ago, I officially own a 94 MR2 G Limited T-Bar in red.

I'm so excited I feel sick. Have wanted it for in nearly 20 years :D

So I decided to unashamedly bump this thread to tell everyone. \o/

Tie a pony to the front towing point? Definitely an increase in half a horse power right there.

    Very nice, Whoops.

Always wanted a car with pop up lights so I could jump in it and tear off, pretending I was Tony Montana doing a runner from the Babylon Club. I'm serious :p

As a bonus, people with slightly failing eyesight might think it's a Ferrari 456 GT you have.

There's a few F355 replicas about the place. I'd rather as original as possible!

I have a lovely black Merc C180, auto, full leather, a dream to drive.
...then the engine went on it. Currently sitting in the driveway with a flat tyre.

Had to buy a diesel Honda Accord to replace it. Much easier on the petrol and tax though.
