    Ms

If I won a million or more I would pay of my mortgage. Then do some renovating and upgrading in the house.

Help the brothers and sisters with there,s a bit maybe not pay it all of but certainly take a lot of the pressure of them.
Then go on a nice holiday with the family and think how best to use the rest of it. Maybe I would invest some too and also
Learn to drive and then buy a car when I can drive. Then get advanced lessens and go pass my test as soon as possible. Would also give some to charity but would do my research first.
Would aim to start a business in something I like.

As some have said here already 1million really ain"t that much money in this world. I know a few people who were millionairs who now have it all spent.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

Amazing how far some people in this thread think a million will stretch.

well 1 million over 45 years is around 425 euro per month right? Plus the rest would be accumalating interest, so even if it stayed at 425 euro per month, and if that person doesnt come out with 425 per month CASh in their job, essentially they can give up work right?

    Time freedom?
You don't need to win the lotto to invent something and the lotto win possibly isn't something that will add to your creativity!

Im obviously well aware of that, but would you not agree it will give you the time and money to put your ideas to use?

425 per month and give up work? You couldn't have 425 per week and give up work!

Go to the pub and drink loads to celebrate, then possibly buy the pub. Start thinking about how to use the money after that.

Depending on the amount I'd see about using the interest ass an added bonus to my wages.

Pay off house would be a priority

425 in today's money, and rapidly being eroded at a compounded rate by inflation. The one million would be best deployed as seed money, seeded into low-cost investments. The one million should not be thought of as an end unto itself.

    1. Gold teeth.
    2. Fur coat.
    3. Extravagant hat.
    4. Silver tipped cane.
    5. Expensive bling.

You can get all that from a hooker and her pimp, 1,3,4,and 5 from the pimp and number 2 from the hooker if you are old fashioned :D

why? the way i look at things is,, if you get 425 euro per week in work, and now you have 425 euro coming in from another source. then that frees up about 40 - 50 hours of your week ? Am i not right?

I just read that there is an unclaimed Lotto of €2.9 million which will run out in 11 days. The ticket was bought in Claremorris in November.

The biggest unclaimed Lotto jackpot was €3.4 million, ticket was bought in Coolock in 2001.

I would spend the majority of it on drink, drugs and women.
The rest I would just squander.

I'd buy a house in Galway to get out of rented accommodation. Put half of what's left in an investment portfolio, probably into airlines or buying metals. Drop out of college, repeat my leaving and do something I'd actually like to do.

I'd buy 500,000 scratchcards, which I've calculated should earn me about €5 million.
Naturally, I'd then buy 2.5 million scratchcards.

After a few months of repeating this process, I should have enough money to retire and spend my time arguing online about how far €1 million will stretch.
I look forward to using the words "portfolio," "bonds," "property" and "seed."

Depends on how much I won.

The first thing would be to plan.

I think you need to plan very carefully what you want in your life or to do. If you like your job then plan carefully what you will do with that over the next five years. Or how you will change it if that is what you wish.

Take good financial advice. And depending on what they say act accordingly.

I would possibly put myself on an allowance. I think Keira Knightly does that.

    Invest for a pension etc.

Next I would help my parents in the way they wanted. I would perhaps buy them a house or help them retire nicely. Do something for my brother. You have to talk that type of thing through with people you can't just barge into their lives. I would definitely want to be generous to my loved ones without ruining their lives or trying to be controlling. You have to give way to their consent.

I think i would sponsor the education of underprivileged kids and donate to vaccination programs. I did that recently and it made me think one prick helps a child for years and the surrounding population. I would also give a little to the DSPCA or other animal charities.

I might go back to education but I think you need a plan or something if you get that amount of money. Infact having no money is a nice sort of freedom.

Oh I would also buy lots of unicorns!

Oh and maybe a nice place to live. But deffo get advice and use an allowance type system. Plus tell no one you get lots of scammers i bet.

I would like to help some of my family members but you need a great deal of wisdom for this. But i think my family is very uncontrived and genuine.

I think you hear a lot of stories of people who win a lot of money and are not happy. I think my well being and happiness would come first. I have pretty good people in my life and I would keep it that way.

Throw one big party maybe and that's it.

I dunno. But deffo buy kittens and unicorns. :-)

Oh and put some of it on the bed and roll around on it once.
