Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Falcao seems to be furthest forward with Fellaini on right and Rooney central behind Falcao.Di Maria playing diagonal balls to Fellaini.

Di maria playing really well so far. Controlling the game but need to start getting some efforts on goal.

Doesn't have Rooney in his way in midfield and he isn't playing with his back to the ball.

Falcao is still coming too deep for the ball. Really shouldn't be his job.

    More than a bit. He's a muppet.

He is reveling in any mistake United make.

That last Di Maria cross has made his week :pac:

Nodding off watching this. No movement or speed of passing in this United team. Just dreadful to watch.

It should be just like watching Blackburn :D

Same shapeless toothless crap. No belief, dreadful passing and crossing. Nothing new under Van Gaal.

What does it take for Rooney to get dropped, awfulness

We are far more exciting to watch and that is not saying much!

This is the sort of dross that kills the FA Cup nowadays.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,579 ✭✭✭MythicalMadMan

Di maria puts in a bad cross - thats not a 60mil cross.
Rooney puts in a bad ball - no movement for him I'm sure he is frustrated

Gotta love that he can do no wrong with the commentators

Thats a very unfair comment, this is the exact same dross United play in the league

Butt they're not competing for the league tbf

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,286 ✭✭✭ankles

Why the reluctance to get balls in to the centre, take men on and try a shot. WE slow down to a funereal pace or hang up long high slow floating crosses that gives the defence about 20 minutes to get set

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,579 ✭✭✭MythicalMadMan

4 times we have been a yard too short or too long with passes to being in on goal it aint that bad need a goal to open it up alright though

If not for major ****ups against Leciester, Burnley and Stoke, United would be second.

    A ponderous image.

That was just pathetic from Herrera.

I thought the Villa/ Leicester match was bad yesterday, but this is like watching Ice melt.....

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭Fuhrer

Thats three times in quick succession a United player with time and space has hit a pass to absolutely no one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,369 ✭✭✭UnitedIrishman

Some of our passing has been woeful. Couple of decent chances without having proper attempts on goal.

Rooney has been so much more productive up front.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,286 ✭✭✭ankles

Falcao is not occupying the defenders enough. THat said I think we are at times a yard of a pass away

Tbf there are a bunch of lucky points gained that could be brought up if the reverse argument was being made.

Herrera hasn't got into game at all yet.

Hmm. We should take off Herrera and put Rooney in Mid. Put on another defender and play 5 at the back with wingbacks.

We also need to run less up front.

    Obvious.

For all of the cries to play Rooney & Herrera in proper positions, we've hardly changed from the form we were displaying for weeks now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,372 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

United just bring teams to their level, it doesn't matter how good/bad they are. Every game goes the same way.

Put Fellani up front on his own and put Di Maria at center back

I'd bring Wilson in for falcao

Van Gaal, tactical genius. Bores the opposition into awfulness.
