Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Smashing penalty

I thought the ref was giving a yellow for a dive to be honest

I wonder will Roy stay around after the match and condemn the dive from his captain?

Disgusting to see such cheating being rewarded

Commentators watching the slow motion replay still saying it was a foul

2nd time in a week I've seen Phil Dowd have an absolute shocker.

If it was a dive, I can't say I have too much sympathy after they dodged the red card.

There doesnt have to be contact for it to be a foul, likewise there being contact doesnt make something a foul either.

Ah my American fox stream is behind. They are only kicking off now.

1 down will spur them on to play more forward and attacking. Be grand.

    Was a tactical move

    Lvg- tactical genius

Dodgy pen to wrap it up and felliani foul for his goal (push in the back).... I said earlier I expected Phil Dowd to help United out, and up he steps.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

    Keeper dived

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

When you go lunging in without getting any of the ball you run the risk of giving away a penalty. Rooney was clever by knocking it ahead and making the most of it but still 9/10 footballers would have done the same.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,711 ✭✭✭keano_afc

Similar to his dive that ended the 49 undefeated all those years ago. He's getting ready for Arsenal.

I know what you are saying but he decided to fall after he jumped the tackle. There was two movements.

    Keeper was moronic

He let Davies off a red card.

He must have heard. Thanks for that.

Could be a classic v Arsenal, have to say if tonight's Team starts that game I fear for Tony Valencia with thought of Alex Ox Chamberlain etc running at him...he is just not a natural defender, considering the wages he is on Falcao has not shown enough so far to merit the astronomical fee and wages to sign him permanently in summer, even though tbf to him he has got v poor service in some of his starts.

Great dive from Rooney, United have been lacking in that regard this season.

Keown is hilarious. 2 of his 3 MOTM selections were subbed by the losing team. Not sure he has the expertise to criticise Van Gall as manager. WHat a guy! :D

Like I said, he's a master simulator. He's been doing it since he was 18,i remember the dive from that game and it was very cleverly done.

Nothing made Rooney fall but his decision to stop moving his legs.

If there was a pie in it, he'd have stayed on his feet no problem.

It's clearly offside for the first goal. He impedes the keeper as he can't fully committ to the save because Rooney is within touching distance of the ball to change the flight of the ball. If Rooney isn't there, the keeper saves it every day of the week.
