Hi guys, looking for a few bits. Can you get me a few options on:

1. 50+ inch TV - My brother is looking for a 50 inch TV with a budget of €700 to €750. I'm thinking of the LG 55LB561V or the Panasonic TX50AS500B, but he's open to other options, but he's fairly firm on the budget. Smart functions are not really necessary.

2. AV receiver/speakers - Looking to upgrade my LG plasma's standard speakers. I'm looking at the Yamaha RXV677, again I'm open to suggestions, but around that pricepoint. For the speakers, I'm not too sure about the different choices, but I've been looking and I suppose I could stretch to the Dali Zensor 5 floorstanders, but again, I'm open to suggestions.

Short of HDMI connecters and speaker cables, and maybe a Blu-ray player, can you guys let me know what you think?

Thanks,

Tadhg

Hi Scanlant.

Thanks for getting in touch.

Lets start with the screen.
The 50AS500 is an "instore only" and can not be shipped unfortunately.
In 50" for shipping would be the 50AS650 coming in at 879.99 euro
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-200553-viera-tx50as650b.aspx

Or down to the Blaupunkt 50" priced at 449.99 Euro
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-200644-50211.aspx

If you dropped to a 48" you could go for the Sasmung UE48H6400 priced at £599.00 / 830.00 Euro (Inc Delivery)
http://www.richersounds.ie/p-200298-ue48h6400.aspx

Or the 47AS650 priced at £599.00 / 830.00 Euro (Inc Delivery)
http://www.richersounds.ie/p-200528-viera-tx47as650b.aspx

The LG 55LB651V originally mentioned can be shipped and coming in at 749.99 Euro (Inc Delivery)
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-200974-55lb561v.aspx

Next with the receiver.
The RXV677 is a cracking unit. I use the RXV673 myself Which is few years old now and I have to say other than the Sony 1050 at 579.99 Euro
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-200552-strdn1050.aspx
The RXV677 is the one to go for.

On the speaker front you could also look at the Monitor Audio BX5 5.1 pack coming in at £1346.00
http://www.richersounds.com/package/speakers/speaker-packages/pah011051
(I run the BX6 speakers on my 673. I have always used Monitor Audio speakers and they run 100% along with the Yamaha receivers).

Dali Zensor 5 5.1 coming in at £1429.95
http://www.richersounds.com/package/speakers/speaker-packages/pah01304

On the HDMI front we stock the AudioQuest range and you could look at the following:
Pearl 1M priced at £25 / 34.99 Euro
http://www.audioquest.com/hdmi/pearl

Cinnamon 1.5M priced at £75.00 / 104.99 Euro
http://www.audioquest.com/hdmi/cinnamon

Chocolate 1M priced at £85.00 / 118.99 Euro
http://www.audioquest.com/hdmi/chocolate

Speaker cable next:

For the fronts I would go for:
QED Performance XTC 2m (Pre terminated pair) priced at £49.95 / 69.99 Euro.
http://www.qed.co.uk/speaker_cables/performance/qed_xtc_cable.html

For the rest on the speakers I would run with the QED Micro priced at 2.89 Euro
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-11552-micro.aspx

Or the Cambridge Ultra micro priced at 3.69 Euro
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-910743-ultra-micro.aspx

For the sub you could use (Depending on the distance from the receiver) the Cambridge 7.5m priced at 27.99 Euro
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-10538-aud100-75m-sub-cable.aspx

Or QED profile 3m priced at 34.99 Euro
http://www.richersounds.com/product/hi-fi-interconnects/qed/profile-subwoofer-3m/qed-qe5101

There is also a QED profile cinema Pack which contains a 30m reel of Micro Original speaker cable, 1m & 3m Profile eFlex HDMI cables and a 3m Profile subwoofer interconnect. Priced at £99.95 / 138.99 Euro

Hope this is of help. Have a little look over the items and let me know what you think.
Any questions please drop me a post.

Thanks for that reply Kenny, there are plenty of options there.

I was thinking of getting a decent set of stereo speakers initially in a 2.0 setup, with the option of adding extra speakers and a sub at a later stage.  I'll have a look at the BX-6 over the weekend.

I'll also have to run the TV options by the man himself, but I'd say the LG 55LB651V could be the way he'll go, unless there is a very good case to be made for the other screens.

Cheers,
Tadhg

How about this for an option:

Panasonic TX50AS650 - Stunning TV and makes mincemeat of the LG 55LB561! Has just been reduced to £699.95:
http://www.richersounds.ie/p-200553-viera-tx50as650b.aspx?swapstore=1

Yamaha RXV677 - What hifi greatest receiver since sliced bread in the current awards and massively reduced to just £389 from originally £500!
http://www.richersounds.ie/p-200624-rxv677.aspx

have a look at the review here:
http://www.whathifi.com/yamaha/rx-v677/review

Dali Zensor 5 ( Pair) £549.95
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-200068-zensor-5-light-walnut.aspx

Our running total is £1639.85 - we could do that bundle at just £1499.95! which is a pretty mega price!

If you swapped the Zensor 5 for the Monitor Audio BX5 which retail at £449.95 - we can reduce the bundle price to just £1379.95 ( from £1540) of if you went for the Monster Monitor Audio BX6 we can do the bundle at £1479.95 (reduced from £1675)

Hopefully these will give you something to show the Brother and I think the pricing is razor sharp on the bundles..

Keep us posted,
