Tried before to source them cheaper but they were always very expensive. Seems to be around €2 per pod everywhere.

You can get them from from amazon.co.uk. VanillaMart is the seller - 40-60 pence per pod (depends on quantity).

The cheapest places to get them are going to be online as all the supermarkets are a rip off.

I haven't used them myself but I've heard good things about vanillamart they have a website and an eBay shop so you should be able to find them on google. They also sell different types of vanilla pods in loads of different quantities and they are all vacuum sealed for freshness.

Not too sure of price but for ease I know Tesco do them.

As mentioned Lidl has them, and it's Lidl so they can't be expensive. I can't remember how much I paid for them there but not a lot.

I buy them directly from VanillaMart. They're great value and excellent quality.

Tiger Stores have 'em sometimes - 2 pods in a little glass tube for €2.

good vanilla pods will never be cheap, there is a hell of a lot of time and effort put into producing them. I was reading somewhere before that at times they need to protect shipments of them with armed escorts as they were a target for armed robbery.
