    Hi All,

I want to arrange a Trial Run\Walk & Night Out for myself and a few of my mates.

Any ideas on a good location ??, I was up in Carlingford lately and thought that it might be place to go.

    Main Requirements Are

1.) 10Km - 25km Trial Walk\Run (a couple of hours), Somewhere that's all signposted etc and that we don't need equipment and nobody can get lost :)

2.) A few good pubs for afterwards

carlingford is a great idea. good trails up the mountain behind the town, and carlingford is a lovely little town to go out in

westport ? run the greenway or part of it, not technically trail running, or run some of the gaelforce course..

in around glendalough / laragh no shortage of trails in that direction

newcastle / tollymore up the north, trails around slieve donard.. ran this lately

https://connect.garmin.com/activity/591221607 nice hilly trail run , dunno what newcastle is like to go out in though

I can recommend the above for the trail requirements part of your query. Someone else will have to help out with the nightlife side of things...

    Boards thread on it too...

The Wicklow Way or Dublin Mountains Way? You could start at Johnny Foxes and do a loop or you could start at Lamb Doyles pub and do the same.

Great thanks all. Like the idea of some of the above. Westport and carlingford sound good.

Something very close to Dublin that good be of interest, is a 12K trail loop around Howth. Decent hills in parts. Plenty of pubs there too.

    Killarney.

Choice of Reeks, National Park, Kerry Way, Mangerton, Torc etc.

Big choice of hotels, restaurants, pubs, plenty to see and do.
