That guy didn't have a clue that Tigers ball landed underneath his chair I'd say. Was just reading his paper!

That was muck from Rory on 18 with only 162 to go. Gave himself no chance. Can't let Spieth get too far away, he won't blow up.

Too early to say it, but Speith looks in ominous form.

162 yards with the flag perched nearly on the hill side. He did okay!

Tiger is going ok to be fair.. some screamer of a 3 wood. Any one else feel that Jack is doing a Monty on it with the " he doesnt know the course " etc ?

Jack Nicklaus was a great golfer but I don't like him as a commentator.
Too much kowtowing by the others towards him too.

-1 is a decent start but after that drive he needs to be giving himself a chance on 18, that pin is not too bad.

Amazing golf from Els. I'd love to see him win a Jacket, he deserves one

wouldn't mind seeing Ernie Els winning the thing. Has never won it and hasn't really contended in it really in the last ten years.

um, this maybe Spieth's tournament if these lucky breaks keep going

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

Els swinging so smooooothly but missed a birdie at 16.

Spieth's last three tournaments have been 1st, 2nd, 2nd so he's going to be hard to beat.

An old guy I knew when playing match-play always said "give me the man who played well yesterday, i'll play him today". Golf always has swings and roundabouts. Good today, bad tomorrow. The breaks always even out.
