Looks like the Dutch investigation into MH17 is blaming a russian operated and fired BUK shot down the civilian airliner

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,922 ✭✭✭Egginacup

How did the Dutch "reporter" know what he was picking up off the ground at the crash site which no doubt was strewn with wreckage.
"Oh look, that looks like a fragment from a BUK missile supplied by Putin himself"
    Conclusive damning evidence!!
    http://static3.uk.businessinsider.com/image/550b0663dd0895ff7a8b4591-1200-706/screen%20shot%202015-03-19%20at%201.11.07%20pm.png

Apparently the Dutch now dismissing reports, watch how this "story" will be buried and disappear without trace ..... until the next yarn of course!
    http://usa24.ws/latest/dutch-dismiss-reports-alleging-mh17-downed-by-buk-missile

Howls of laughter from the gallery.

A Dutch reporter can identify a fragment from a BUK missile without even knowing what he's sifting through and this is conclusive evidence that the plane was shot down by a BUK missile. Yet radar and early warning systems which can detect a missile launch anywhere on earth haven't shown anything. A six mile long vapour trail that a BUK leaves hanging in the air for quarter of an hour wasn't seen or photographed by anybody either.

    :pac:

Denmark might contemplate joining a system that would make it more difficult for Russia to nuke them.

Accordingly Russia has responded by threatening to nuke Denmark.

Thus making membership of the missile defence shield club all the more sensible.

Russia: You couldnt make up the stupidity.

Erm, why would Russia threaten to Nuke Denmark?? Or did they just wake up with a hangover and decide it would be a good idea? I'd say that would pi55 the rest of Europe off a tad.

If only for the loss of bacon & lurpac production.

(Which would warrant a full continent wide mobilisation)

But who knows what goes through the mind of Czar Rain-man in his golden palace?

The arguments now from the "Russia invaded Ukraine" crew are beginning to resemble a cross between Beavis/Butthead and Vicky "yeah but no but yeah but no but" Pollard.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/russia-threatens-denmark-with-nuclear-weapons-if-it-tries-to-join-nato-defence-shield-10125529.html
Russia has threatened to target Denmark’s warships with nuclear weapons if the Scandinavian nation becomes a member of Nato’s missile defence shield.

In comments which have been met with anger in Copenhagen, the Russian ambassador to Denmark said a move towards better integration with the Western alliance would make it a “threat to Russia”, and that it would have to accept the consequences.

Mikhail Vanin told the told Jyllands-Posten newspaper: “I do not think that the Danes fully understand the consequences if Denmark joins the US-led missile defence shield. If that happens, Danish warships become targets for Russian nuclear missiles.”

According to a translation by the Copenhagen Post, Vanin added that while such a move would be “Denmark’s decision”, “relations with Russia will be damaged” and it would “lose both money and security”.

The threat comes amid a backdrop of heightened tension across eastern Europe, as last night David Cameron and other EU leaders agreed to extend sanctions against Russia until the terms of a Ukraine ceasefire agreement are met.

And Martin Lidegaard, the Danish foreign minister, denounced the Russian diplomat’s use of threats.

“This is obviously unacceptable,” he said. “Russia knows very well that Nato’s missile defence system is defensive. We disagree with Russia on many important things, but it is important that the tone between us remains as positive as possible.”

Russia / Putin are really losing the plot.

Der Novofuhrer is eyeing up some new territory now.
Gagauzia, a tiny autonomous region in Moldova, checks most of the boxes for Russian meddling. It is ethnically Turkic, religiously Christian Orthodox, and the main language spoken is Russian. The region is a byproduct of imperial rivalry between the Ottoman and Russian empires typically found in the Black Sea basin in the 19th century. Like Crimea, it was taken by Russia from the Ottoman Empire. In this case, Russia acquired Gagauzia after the Russo-Turkish War (1806–1812) as part of the 1812 Treaty of Bucharest.

Today, it is the poorest region of Moldova and Gagauzians blame the westward orientation of the central government for many of their problems. Local politicians regularly use separatists and pro-Russian slogans to drum up local support. Events in eastern Ukraine have only encouraged this.

    Really?
Lovely clear day here according to many:

In fact I'm thinking of selling a piece of cheese with an image of the Virgin Mary in the mould.

    Are you not embarrassed?

Looks like Der Novofuhrer is bringing in reinforcements from overseas to swell the ranks of his Schutzstaffel and Gestapo. Some of the people in the picture look the right age to join the Putin Youth movement.
Some 150 representatives of far-right parties across Europe have been meeting in Russia to co-ordinate policy.

The event in St Petersburg, organised by the pro-Kremlin Rodina party, heard strong criticism of the West's support for the Ukrainian government.

Those attending included the ousted leader of the British National Party, Nick Griffin, Udo Voigt from the German neo-Nazi NPD, and Greece's Golden Dawn.

    What does "pro-Kremlin" mean anyway?
Would it be the same as a party being "pro-Aras-an-Uachtarainn" or "pro-Downing Street" or "pro-White House" ???

Most of us are capable of criticising the US, British or Irish government. The same can't be said of you and the Kremlin. You've argued in favour of Putin's right to be able to commit domestic assassinations... Absurdly dogmatic and deluded in your stance.

So in other words a party that is e.g. "pro-Downing street" would be a supporter of the UK Prime Minister no matter who he or she was?

You're perfectly entitled to you own opinion. What you are not entitled to are your own facts.
Making stuff up about Russia will not do you any favours and in fact shows you up to be the deluded hypocrite that you like to call so many others.

It more commonly relates to the current administration rather than unwavering support for the state itself.

I see pro-Kremlin as a political entity that either has ties or sympathies with the current Kremlin administration.

It is neither a negative or positive statement, it is merely a reference point.

It means that aside from occasional brief periods of sleep, Czar Shirtless is good for another 2 decades at least.

His absence was merely a scheduled service.
