Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A friend has taken up the option on Evision instead of sky, it was a no brainer, but as with everything over time a few hiccups will appear. I dont have evision so not a clue how it works but I do know the principle of series link ie the box remembers to record prgramme that are in series. However, the Evision has a quirk in that it cant distinguish between the original and a repeat so... it will record the same programme over and over if it is repeated!!

Is there any fix or workaround for this and are Eircom aware of this annoying glitch?

Thanks I had a sneaking suspicion that was the case, that is a real bummer, apparently some repeats clash with other programmes.

They must have copied the s/w from UPC, my Horizon box will magically record a series repeat even weeks after the original ended and all traces of it were scrubbed from the box.

I think it's down to how/where they're getting their EPG data as it doesn't happen to all programmes or on all channels either, only certain channels/programmes.

The difference is - no clashes on Horizon.

With Horizon's ability to simultaneously record four programmes - true.

Though it's still capable of recording the same episode twice, even when you set series record to 'single channel'.

It sure does. But the multi record eliminates clashes.
