Just listening to Shannon low level(127.5) and a controller just came on and said to the survey cessna caravan over the midlands that "someone just rang us here and said the object you are towing is after hitting the roof of a building " . Op's normal so I presume someone's eyes playing tricks with them. Caller was in the roscommon area

I saw that aircraft over Athlone yesterday travelling back and forth along the Shannon.

that drags along behind the plane in flight, so they are flying at low level but not that low!

did some think the drogue broke from the plane?

They're back flying back and forth along the Shannon over Athlone for most of today. Didn't spot the trailing boom though.

It was there alright, saw it pretty close up over town.
