    Hello,
    I emailed sales'at'electric.ie on Wdnesday (18/2) asking for info on price plans, offers for new customers etc, but haven't heard anything from them (apart from ans auto-response).
    Could you give them a nudge and ask them to check their email, please ?

    Thanks for your interest in Electric Ireland.

    The Sales email team will certainly respond to you - it just takes approximately three working days (depending on incoming volumes) and your email is placed in a queue.

    We can provide information for you also in this department in the meantime though: for new customers who would like to avail of any discounts, direct debit is an initial requirement (this also eliminates the €300 security deposit that can be a requirement for new customers).
    For electricity-only customers, there is a core discount of 13%. If customers register for online billing (instead of postal billing) there is a further 2% discount.
    For electricity + gas customers (Dual Fuel) there is the 13% discount as above for electricity, and a 9% discount for gas. Once again, there is the 2% online billing discount (on each fuel) also, which is optional.

    These discounts are applied to units used.

    There is also the Nest smart thermostat price-plan (it is Home Services rather than Sales that would advise regarding this). New customers can avail of the Nest thermostat and its installation (total cost: €374) at no cost once they register for direct debit and online billing.

    Our phone Sales agents can be contacted at 1850 30 50 90 on Saturdays up to 6pm if you are interested in speaking with someone this weekend (their lines are open until 8pm Monday to Friday also).
    The Home Services team are available on 1850 30 50 85 Monday to Friday until 6pm.
