It looks vaguely like back country of northern Ontario, Quebec area. No real clue as to where though.

But then he told someone else to post in his place and got thick (maybe tongue in cheek:o) when the same thing basically happened.

There is nothing in that photo to suggest where it could be though, it's already time for a clue or a more obvious photo.

I see what you mean, also the road has no lines on it which would be unusual here but I found some like that in northern Finland -- still the vegetation looks a bit taller than what I see there. Maybe some border area further south? Can't make any sense of the blue thing with the big rock on it either.

So we're going to need some help here, about all I can say is that it looks to be close to the arctic circle somewhere.

That is the right area allright, but not the right border combination. If it helps, the building in the background is a textile shop.

Wow! Finally a clue. I scowered the Finland, Norway and Russia borders earlier.

The curve beisde the number you block was either a D or 9 or a 0 or something curvy. From scowering the borders earlier, I'd seen loads of roads with 9 in them.

Here it is at Nuorgam, road 970 to the Norwegian border:

Also the obvious clue from the Moscow one is cannons outside a yellow building. It's the Kremlin in Moscow. It's in the top google image results.

Just googling now, I find it's actually called The Kremlin Arsenal:

Well it was a bit of a shock to find it there, I had no idea what the place looked like but it had to be down that way -- looks like western hemisphere but not as commercially developed as most places on west coast of North America, also I live there so would have recognized it probably. So I started looking in far south as the only other place it could be, eliminated largest town (Punta Arenas) near a border and bodies of water, and I had heard of Ushuaia as being the "end of the road" so I checked it and realized it was the right place as soon as I saw the red car with the lights on. Took a while to find the actual spot as that car evidently followed the google earth camera for a mile or two.

Anyway, I have what I expect will be a fairly easy one to serve up now ...
