    Hey guys

I am shopping for a new TV for my parents.

We have an ancient 720p 26'' in the sitting room at the moment that we want to replace.

I am looking for something 40''-50'' in size. 3D would be nice, but not a necessity. Would like the motion rate to be good enough for fast-paced films/sports.

EDIT: What do you think of this guy? http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-12750-ue40h6400.aspx - would it be one you'd recommend?

Could you do a price match? http://pricespy.ie/product.php?p=2561831

    Thanks guys!!

Don't need SMART features, as I have a Blu-ray player with all that.

Can you give me some models and prices? Looking to spend around the €400-€500 mark, at most.

    Hi Sam Mac.

The 40H6400 is a great television priced at 549.99 Euro (Inc Delivery)

If going for a 3D screen it will most certainly be smart as the 3D screen tends to be the higher end of the market.

Next in line with 3D would be the Sony KDL40W829 priced at 639.99 Euro (Inc Delivery)
    http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-200226-bravia-kdl42w829b.aspx

Then up to the Panasonic TX42AS650 coming in at 669.99 Euro (Inc Delivery)

Let me know if any would suit or any questions please ask.

    The 40H6400 looks great, Kenny.

http://pricespy.ie/product.php?p=2561831 Can you pricematch any of these? Or even a small discount for a fellow boardie and previous customer (bought a Panasonic 55VT65 plasma from you guys last year for €2,500)?

    Hi Sam Mac.

Had a check over the link:

Factory Choice - I've never heard of these guys before, They also advertise their prices ex-vat and its added on at check out. They only offer a 1 year warranty. Did a bit of checking on these guys and they are not selling UK/ Irelnad stock. Seem to be coming from Belgium.

The screen supplied by Pixmania is a grey import and not a UK/Ireland spec screen - Stated on there website and only comes with a 1 year warranty.

Again Harvey Norman only offer a 1 year and once you add on their shipping they are .04 cent cheaper. They 4 year warranty is 219.99 Euro.

D.I.D once you add shipping are more expensive and again only a 1 year warranty.

For us to be able to offer a price beat it must be a like for like deal (Including a 5 year guarantee and delivery to yourself if can not be collected locally).

All our pricing in Euro includes delivery.

If you do some more checking and find any more cheaper let me know and I'll have a check for you.

Unfortuantely not all out products are able to be discounted for Boardies and this screen is one of them. We try our best to give boardies the best price when ever possible but unfortunately not all product have the margin to do so.

Any questions please let me know.

No worries Kenny, cheers for that - worth a try! :D

Does this TV have Saorview built-in? Headphone jack?

    Hey Sam Mac.

    No problem at all.

The screen is Saorview compatible and will pick up the Saorview stations.

It does also have a headphone output on it.
