thinking of building my first pc

    strongly thinking of building my first pc and need some advice. Firstly, what is the crack with the os. what os do I need and where can I get it from. Secondly, I've been looking online for hardware components and am absolutely overwhelmed. should I stick to one manufacture or mix it up.
    lastly, any tips would be appreciated and is there a go to site for everything I need.

    Read threw all of the different builds on here mate and have a read threw the conversations you will learn alot and get an idea of what's what and its actually interesting going threw some of them.

    Thanks for the link game4it70.

    first build ever so any advice appreciated.

    1. What is your budget? €400 or less - first build so don't want to spend to much in case i fry everything

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gaming / films

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes - looking for a cheap win7 if possible

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? no

    5. Do you need a monitor? no - using TV

    5a. If yes, what size do you need. [19'/20'/22'/24'/etc.]

    5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you PLAN to upgrade in the near future? [1920x1080/1440x900/etc.] [Yes/No]

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Keyboard

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? possibly when i learn more about it

    8. How can you pay? Credit Card/Laser

    9. When are you purchasing? no date set, but this year

    10. If you need help building it, where are you BASED? will prob need some advice.
