Xperia Z car charges issue's

    I was happily charging my Xperia Z with a standard Tesco car charger.

    For some reason it no will not charge via the car but is fine on the mains or PC. I use the same cable I use for the PC but no luck.

    I have tried mates phones like HTC , iPhone , Samsung Galaxy and they all work fine.

    I tried my old Xperia SP and thats charged until it was updated? Is this a software issue or forcing us to buy over prices Sony Car chargers
