Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

city losing 1 0 but playing very well. If it stays that way 7 behind city and 8 behind utd and one of them has to drop points next week so the gap if we won would be 4 or 5 pts to one of them.

City are looking more catchable than Utd but we ain't gonna catch either.

Oh come on - Arsenal! who else? :pac:

Arsenal don't buy injury prone players, they create them...

You appear to be on a one man mission here.....

Hearsay. We don't know the facts to be fair.

However IF its true I think it's very hypocritical to have a go at one of your defenders for losing the ball when trying to play out of defense......when you preach that style of play. It's the flipside of playing out from the back. Eventually you will get caught. And is it Toure's fault he but Markovic in midfield and played Henderson at right back?

I like Rodgers so I hope its nonsense because I don't like blaming players from the manager.

Highly unlikely but things can change in football very quickly. If City fail to win tonight it gives us a slight chance to put a little bit of pressure on one of the teams.

Realistically i would be hoping for something like this come the summer
    Players out:
    Lambert - 1m
    Borini - 8m
    Ballotelly - 8m
    Gerrard - free
    Johnson - free
    Enrique - 1m

    Total wages ~ 500k p/w saved.

I'd like a world class box to box MF and a world class striker, the wages listed above would cover that :)
I'd don't think we'll be able to attract any world class established players though which is a worry

Whoa - Enrique is worth at least 5 million to some side in Spain, Borini on the other hand has long since passed peak-demand, probably no more than 5m for him. Anyway its the wages as you note not the transfer fees that really add up with that lot.

    It's our last home game.

Utd have to go there I think

I'd like to see two starters come in and maybe three squad players.

Goalkeeper to give Mig some competition.
    Midfielder with potential.
Midfielder that's ready to step into the team.
Proven striker that suits our style of play.
    Origi.

    What's city's run in like?!

utd and spurs away southampton home are the 3 most difficult.

Agh! we all know what's needed, what we don't know is what Rodgers wants and want the market will allow.

    Some keeper
    Clyne
    Pjanic
    Lacazette

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

Does ITV or BT sport have the match tomorrow night?

    Edit: balls, BT Sport

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,056 ✭✭✭SuperTortoise

    utd (a)
    west ham (h)
    villa (h)
    spurs (a)
    QPR (h)
    Swansea (a)
    Soutjampton (h)

That's city's run in, still think it's easier than utd's run in mind.
Our best bet is to hope utd get found out and soon!

Would be dream tbh. I do think buying a keeper is harder than people think. Not really sure what kind of target it should be. Obviously almost anything Is better than brad Jones tho but do you buy a young guy with potential ala Carson and Kirkland or a more experienced guy?!?

If you want ready made superstar signings your going to be disappointed for years. Just because you wish something was true won't make it so. We are firmly in the blist maybe even c list players at this stage.

I'd sooner experience - someone like Petr Cech who is willing to play cup games on a decent wage.

I don't see him leaving Chelsea's bench to come sit on ours.. I think he'd be looking for gauranteed first team football to come here. I'd be thrilled with him but not sure that the upgrade would be big enough to justify the wages he'd command. Vorm would have been perfect imo.

Wow... That is probably the least funny thing I've ever seen on boards... Which is saying something.

Attacking the manager after two defeats to two good sides. Pathetic.

Criticising the manager is fair game.

I'm assuming the poster isn't a Liverpool fan tbf.

Could you please in the lords name tell me how the fcuk is it an "attack" on the manager?

I was attempting to lighten the mood a bit after the disappointment of the last few days. Have you lost your evidently vague sense of humour or are you just a narcissist?

What about Adrián? Problem is being able to make an offer that someone like him would deem acceptable, I suppose he could just be challenged to depose Mignolet and then its a straight dog-fight to see who stays in the first 11.

Criticising 100% is. The above isn't doing that tho, it's mocking.

If it's not a post from a Liverpool fan then it's not as ridiculous, still doesn't mair the post any funnier tho.

Its not criticism, its mocking Rogders particular speech mode. Not very clever really.

Because you are attempting to mock him. And mock him about something that every single manager does. It's the same as those who used to post memes in arsenal thread about Wenger "not seeing" something. If you think its funny then that's your call buy I've a perfectly find sense of humour and I find the post cringier than any Rodgers interview (bar the ones on that awful awful show...)

I think it's just poor humour from a rival fan. It wouldn't upset me too much

You must be only new here. I havent been on boards in a month but was a regular poster before that and am a fan by the way

So what if I find his speech mode at times slightly amusing, thats my business. Doesnt mean I have anything against the manager or his ability. Personally I like Brendan and still fully behind him
