Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fence Advice

    Hi All,

Looking for advice regarding a garden fence. We have two very friendly but ridiculously stubborn dogs. We recently put up about 65 metres of really strong chain link fence. The dogs have repeatedly managed to break their way through it.

We have now decided that in order to keep them in that we will need to section off a part of the garden and make it really secure. I was thinking of using railway sleepers cut to size and put standing in concrete. They would jump anything up to 4ft so it needs to be slightly higher than that.

Any recommendations on how to do something similar that is not as dear as the sleepers?

    Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

Radio fence is not an option For me.

I'd never recommend a radio or e-fence, they're not only unnecessarily cruel but they're fairly useless.

I'd recommend going above 4" if you can, up to 6", you'd be amazed at how high they can jump or climb if they put their mind to it. Your best bet might be to look at getting some metal fencing panels or a specialist dog run and sinking the bottom foot or so into the ground so they can't dig under it.

Unfortunately budget is most important part at approx 500. Tough call to get it done For that.
