John dunsworth, the guy who plays Mr. Lahey in trailer park boys is a fantastic on screen dipso,i know a fair few incurable alcoholics and dunsworth absolutely nails it,what makes it even more impressive is that the chap is teetotal in real life.Steve Mc Fadden (Phil Mitchell,EastEnders) and Johnny Vegas have also had some memorable moments, although with the latter its hard to define where the man stops and the character starts.
Thoughts?Who plays the the most convincing p1ss artist on telly?

    In what manner?
I mean Charlie from Two and a Half men always struck me as the alcoholic in terms of sheer abuse of it but not physically in need of it.

    I'd vote for him.

He didnt fly over your head because he was passed out on the floor and you stepped over him.

Phil Mitchell from Eastenders played an outstanding drunkard. He genuinely looked half cut, with the bloodshot eyes and everything.

My favourite film drunk is Michael Caine in Educating Rita. The scene where he's pissed up in a nightclub... Brilliant stuff.

Charlie Harper for me, just because I grew up with him on the TV. Onslo was great too though, but I was too young to really get it.

....a bottle of this... Kentucky Bourbon. Brownest of the brown liquors. What's that? You want me to drink you? But I'm in the middle of a trial!

Hutz: Care to join me in a belt of scotch?
Marge: It's 9:30 in the morning!
Hutz: Yeah, but I haven't slept in days.
