I've thought about collecting Warhammer Fantasy stuff but always figured it'd be too expensive and I'd have nowhere to put them.
Warhammer stuff is very expensive nowadays. I used to collect it but now I've shifted over to Warlord Games's Pike and Shotte (17th Century) and Bolt Action (WW2) stuff. Much more economical, plastics work out at around a quid each and metal about 2 quid e.g a squad of 10 metal German infantry is £15 and a box of 25 plastic Germans is £24.

Atari games. Anyone wanna get rid of some, I'll take them!

The WW2 stuff does sound interesting enough and it sounds fairly cheap.
In terms of the painting and all, is it difficult? I figured with Warhammer if you mess it up it's not gonna matter by much.

Comics, not to sell them or to hope they go up in value but because I enjoy them. Most of what I get these days is electronic but my parents attic is full with boxes I have collected over the last 20 years. Looking forward to opening them up for the kids in a few years.

Also tshirts, never an intentional thing but myself and my OH would go to America every year and stock up on clothes and every year would have more and more tshirts in the case coming home. Had about 300 plus last time I checked, mostly branded (DC, Hurley, etc) but also ones from gigs I have been to, comic characters, and wrestling ones.

It's not too bad. There are loads of online tutorials and olive or grey uniforms don't cause the same problems that bright fantasy robes or goblin skin can.

Books- I really love to find old cookbooks, sewing manual, books on etiquette and gardening. People's diets were horrible back then
I also collect vintage clothes and records. If I had lots of money I would probably collect works of art and antiques.

If you're just looking to collect them, paint them and display them then don't bother with any one company, just buy models you like the look of. There's even loads of companies who don't do any of the game stuff, just producing interesting models.

Also I've some limited edition signed books

Then there's my collection of football programmes - I've every competitive Man Utd match from the end of the 2nd World War until 2005 (had pretty much run out of space by then)

More recently I've been picking up a few football medals

    Give you away?
I'm guessing those books aren't fiction.

    Swiss Army knives

    Asterix comics

As in if anyone who knows me reads that post they will immediately identify me irl :P Oh wells!

Oh they are fiction, but the author does an awful lot of work to research newest forensic methods etc, so while its fiction and highly unlikely to be realistic at least it has some factual basis. And they've got a great continual story-line through out with the minor characters...
