Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

City are as open as I dunno what

If Barca score again before City, this could be a serious rout

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,966 ✭✭✭Liamalone

Lol diMichaelis the only city player moving in the box for that.

Where was Kompany going? He was in the right spot then pushed out, the ball went through where he was previously

This tie could be over very shortly if things continue

Genius! A work of art in Manchester, Barcelona are putting on a clinic that no other club can equal.

Your posts are great. Never change...

I rest my case. Suarez is more calm on this type of stage and is a great attacker. City are not going forward and have no energy.

Yeah but it's utter drivel thinking Messi or anyone is more nervous than Suarez

And Danny Mills blames him! Kompany is being destroyed.

They needed a positive reaction after the Malaga game, and this is some reaction.

As he has been for several seasons. But the media will give him a pass. As per usual.

Brutal from city....can't see where pelligrini can change this? Even Bony can't save this...

Nor could Toure if he allowed play

Kompany is "one of the lads" though. How he escapes any sort of criticism is mental. Such an overrated player.

Never cut on a January night in Stoke

Messi is on another level to every single player in the world. He is just out of this world. Hardly put foot wrong, no assists or goals to show in stats but his passing is joy to watch.

Messi has been scarily good...even for him this is class

Forget Ronaldo as the best in the world.

    Messi is on another level.

I'm just commenting that this is his arena and he's proving it. Messi will probably have a go off them too by the end of it.

Its scary to think that the team in blue beat Newcastle 5-0 the other day, while barely breaking a sweat.

Did Clichy think Crouch was in the middle there?

La Liga has always been more frenetic than the Premier League anyway.

I don't know if Barcelona have been brilliant or Ciry have been brutal(probably a bit of both) but Barcelona have been fantastic to watch this half.

    Definitely a bit of both.

City seem rushed in everything they do. The stage is getting to them, a little, it would appear. But Barca have beaten them in every facet of the game so far.

Impressive how quick Barca are to close down the ball when not in posession, city doing the complete opposite.

With Dzeko up front City might have a bit more luck if they apply their neighbours tactics.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,188 ✭✭✭Montroseee

I'd expect huge transfer activity at City this Summer. Dzeko, Nasri, Clichy, Fernando etc. etc. need to be replaced badly for City to challenge in Europe.

City doing a real Liverpool in Europe, no idea how they can turn this around

Like in a great painting, every swish of the brush means something, every strand of paint, every tiny detail, this is the football equivalent. Every pass, every feint, every movement means something with Barcelona. With every Barcelona pass the confidence has visibly seeped out of City's players and out of City's fans. From front to back it's been a special 45 minutes, from a special group of players.

I'd also like to say that it's a half like that when I think judging best player in the world on goals scored is a nonsense. He hasn't gotten on the scoresheet but anyone watching can see that Messi has grabbed this tie by the scruff of the neck. I can't think of another player who could do it as Messi has. Superhuman.
