Correct me if I'm wrong, but the slip came before the palace game and the palace collapse wouldn't have happened if it hadn't IMO. I agree with you it's pretty sad that fans have to sing about players that aren't even playing but it's part and parcel of being a high profile footballer I suppose, I'm sure it doesn't bother him sitting at home in his mansion.
