Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Maybe a 1-1 or 1-2.

I'm pretty surprised that Suarez managed to redeem himself after some of his antics in the past. Barca really gave him a chance.

Lol, yeah cause its all about winning the Champion's league for him. That is why he moved to City in the first place! I'm sure the money doesn't matter to him.

I'm sure either PSG or Real Madrid would pay him what City can.

PSG may tempt him. Cavani or Lavezzi (or both) may be off in the Summer and Ibrahimovic is not getting any younger.

Kompany has been awful since the last time he made an absolute balls of things against Barcelona and everyone blamed Dimechelis. A great influence in the dressing room I'm sure but his form has been consistently bad for a year at this stage. They won't do anything in Europe until they sort out their defence, really awful

A fully fit Aguero is surely the best striker in the world, it's a shame he's made of glass
Suarez is slightly better imo. At club level there about even as Suarez gets more assists. But Aguero for Argentina is very poor while Suarez is Uruguay greatest ever player.

Yes but many people say Messi is "quite poor" for Argentina too. Even getting to the final of the World Cup which while being a very impressive achievement, they never really played that well in the tournament.

At some point you have to absolve Aguero and Messi of it and start blaming the rest of the Argentinian squad an management.

Aguero is simply an outstanding striker. Whatever about comparisons with Suarez, he's undoubtedly the best in the premier league.

No way imo Suarez is second, if you're judging on overall player and not just last season, and a player you'd want in your team in the big games it's a fit Aguero any day.

Sadly he has a lot of injury problems

Also Suarez only has two more assists in the PL than Aguero by my count

    Greatest ever?

Why did Schiaffino get knocked off the top?

City in big trouble. Completely outplayed in that first half. Have to score twice at the Nou Camp. Crucially though they are not out of it. Why on earth didn't Messi just 'walk' the ball into the goal. Or kick it in? Unbelievable miss. Keeps City alive. With Yaya back you'd expect City to be better next time around. Barca looked in trouble in that second half. City had them pressed back and when Barca got forward they didn't look near as potent. This tie is far from over.

Deserved win, could have been over by half-time. Yet on balance, scoreline reflects the game over both halfs and City deserve to be within a shout. It's a very tough ask!

You also have to take into account Barcelona are a much better team at the Nou Camp. City's chances are slim, they needed a positive result to be with resemblance of a decent shout

The way Barca keep the ball reduces frustrated opponents into very physical tactics. All this 'darlings of UEFA' stuff smacks of sour grapes
