Anyone see the story in the Sunday World about a former "chart topping crooner" who is allegedly involved in the drugs trade? They showed a pixaleted picture of him.

Probably a runner up on The Voice or some similar crappy show and theyre trying to make out that hes a former megastar.Any link?

Edit:Ah ha here we go.Hes not named and they don't show his face, also no mention of where in the country hes from.I've no idea who he might be but have probably never heard of him anyway.

Bull**** image (and probably story) from the SW - that's a stock image produced by an Italian photography studio.

What the heck! At least use a picture people aren't going to quickly find isn't a stock image wonder if they will try wiggle their way out of it or just let it die.

Its just some random person used in a stock photo they probably haven't even ever been to Ireland.

Not surprising in the least. Slow news day so the SW decided to concoct a story out of thin air, and not a very interesting one at that. Using the stock image though, I don't get it. Surely they can't be that hard up for a few bob that they couldn't get in some photographer to take a picture of somebody from their office and pass it off as the mystery 'celeb'.

Yep, seems to be a stock imagine in the category of 'young man smiling leaning':

Are there not enough scumbags in the country that they have to invent fictional ones?Wonder how many other times have they done this?
