Hi Richersonds

Just wondering if you have any good offers on the above sized televisions at the moment.

I am looking for something with thin bezels and at least 100mhz.

It does not need to smart.

While 3D is nice, I am not to pushed on this but would have a preference for passive  if the price was right.

Postage to Cork would be required.

    Thanks

    Barr

Hi Barr, for a tv in that size with 100 mhz you would be starting off with the likes of the Blaupunkt 50"

    http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-200644-50211.aspx

The bezel is about 20mm to get something with a smaller bezel yo would be going to something like the panasonic TX47as650

    http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-200528-viera-tx47as650b.aspx

This has a bezel just over half the width of the Blaupunkt, you also gain 3d, smart and 1200 mhz

Thanks Stephen ,  the Blaupunkt looks decent vlaue . Is it a true 100mhz refresh?

On the specs it says 100Hz AMR. I'm not to sure what the AMR relates to.

In the good old days you used to used to have 50 hz and 100 hz  and 100 was twice as good as 50.  The problem is manufacturers decided to use their own method of calculating refresh rate, making it very hard to compare across brands.  In reality 100Hz AMR probably falls between true 50 and 100 Hz

Hi unfortunately that tv is completely out of stock at the moment and I don't think it will be coming back in.  For round that sort of price you could consider the panasonic  tx47as650

That's a nice looking TV as well. How would you rate it next to the LG ?

Would the picture quality be on a par ?

Hi Barr Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, the shop was really busy this afternoon, and I never got a chance to check boards. So just taking the opportunity to check posts and PM's while the adverts are on during tonight Nascar race.  I would say the picture on the panasonic  would be on a par if not slightly better than the LG

    Barr,

many thanks for the post & apologies for the delay getting back to you.

The Blaupunkt is 50/148 still available no problem - it has 3 HDMI inputs ( and one USB input) but they are not ARC enabled.

Thanks again and keep us posted if we can assist in any way,
