Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Battery Question

    Hey all.

I'm using an Aspire clearo and VIP battery and it's just stopped working mid smoke. All connections are clean, battery is charged and the clearo is not flooded. Yet when I try to draw it's as if I'm not pressing the button on the battery. Connection issue possibly?

Battery is two months old BTW.

Ok it's not the battery. Remembered I have an unused disposable clearo I got with the VIP. Can a coil just give up like that? Literally took a deep drag then the next drag - nothing. Never had that happen before.

I'm actually out of coils for the Aspire anyhow and need to order more.

Sometimes the contact on ego batteries can get pushed down, it will make contact with some clearos and not others. You can use a small screwdriver to work around the edges and carefully prize it up a little bit.

Read that here before. Although it's working fine with the disposable clearo.

It probably has a longer pin at the bottom than the aspire so its still making contact.

Fair point. Although why would it stop literally mid smoke? I was puffing away all evening but then it just stopped.

As a side the disposable clearo is fookin pox in comparison to a decent clearo.

Update: got new coils in the post and popped one in and it fired up straight away so the coil itself was the issue. Never had that happen before where a coil just stopped working mid smoke.

I'd say the coil has burnt out, like a light bulb.
All it takes is for the wire to have one little flaw in it and its the weak spot.
Heads are heads, some of them are just duds.
