I can only see what I read in the media.. but why would 787 people of Rahoon-Newcastle GAA Club object to a proposed Salthill/Knocknacarra GAA pitch in Rahoon?
Other than it is in Rahoon which the objectors don't explicitly state?

I thought the GAA were all inclusive, cooperative, lovey dovey etc.

Could they not just put it in the Westside?

They're trying to amalgamate every club in Galway to give Corofin a close game at some stage in the next 40 years.

    Nail on head DB.

In fact way back in early GAA days a particular club used to represent the county.

Perhaps if they gave Corofin the gig to do so?

A true statement doesn't always need to be expanded on when endless examples are available.
