Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey,

Since around Christmas time the bike has been acting up. Not starting in the mornings when cold and so on. Now its back running however it does not seem to have the same power it used to when accelerating the engine does not sound right. Kind like a flapping rather than how it used to sound. It still goes dosent feel the same. It also seems to cut out during the odd gear change and every now and again if left in neutral for more than 30seconds or so.

Any ideas on what the issue is?

    Thanks

If the bike has carbs sounds like the idle speed is set too low. Try adjusting idle speed report back. Also check the air filter, she might not be getting enough air and that would cause your loss of power.

Im having the same problem at the moment too. If I go from 5/6th gear to a stop over a short enough distance the bike wants to cut out. Driving it after starting it up needed the choke to be left on for quite a while. Once warm it was ok for a while ticking over at about 1200 at idle, stopping at traffic lights sometimes it would drop very low and cut out when engaging the clutch lever.

szatan84 advice i hope works for you as Im starting the long road of ticking everything off. Trying RedEX (http://www.halfords.ie/motoring/engine-oils-fluids/fuel-oil-additives/redex-petrol-treatment-500ml) at the moment to see if it cleans the carbs enough to notice a change in the overall stability. Not many kilometers yet but it seems to be a little bit better (not cutting out as much). Ill let you know if I see a definite change. Have a look at fixxit on reddit too, good place to get ideas about bike problems (http://www.reddit.com/r/Fixxit/).
