Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Man United v Sunderland Saturday 3.00pm

  • This is dire, our midfield can't be brought into the game when we keep trying to play out from the back

Sunderland can simple wait for us to bore them to death and strike on the counter

Absolutely atrocious football by Man Utd so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,345 ✭✭✭keeponhurling

why is Falcao so poor ?

Been a poor showing so far, nice by united to work a corner back to their own keeper.

Also, Evans probably isn't the right man to be marking Defoe

Old Trafford crowd getting very frustrated today. Not nice to see your side in possession and afraid to cut a ball threw the other teams deffence.

There's no one up there to get on to that through ball

    Fs Rooney stop dropping deep

Stay up front and make runs

    Rooney is incapable of that.

Ah would ye give over. He's coming deep, getting the ball, laying it off, running up top only for the ball to be recycled to the back and wings. Only way ROoney or Falcao are seeing the ball is a cross being deflected in their path or a pass back. Absolute dire football.

why is Falcao so poor ?

Because he gets zero fecking service. The fact I've seen grannies turn and move quicker doesn't help either.

Young and Hererra are the only players that are gonna create anything/

That was unlucky. Much better play. Keep the pace up now hopefully and create some more chances.

Falcaos problem is when he gets the ball to feet he tries to control it, turn and beat the marking player so he can go forward. Many of our players are happy to pass it backwards once they recieve it, in keeping it would seem with LVG's "philosophy".

Falcao is too opptimistic and attack minded for his own good at times. He needs to lay it back and do a give and go or something, its the way the whole team is playing. He trying to be over positive and attack minded for his own good right now.

Di Maria is picking up his game a bit.

Come on di Maria ffs. That was a great position to put a threatening ball in and u hit the first man again.

I was looking at a passage of play there several times players were exchanging passes across field and players were making runs into box. They have to take more chances in possession.

Di Maria forgot to roll there. Silly Billy.
What a shyte free kick too.

    Should be dropped.

Matter of time before van Aanholt gets done drifting too far inside, losing track of Di Maria out wide. Seen it happen a few times this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,831 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

We're like a slow shít Arsenal 2010/11 team

    Not enough width

Goal coming for United, once we don't get caught out...

After his two goals the other week, Smalling might go threats and show them how it's done

Evans does love a back pass

Young looks the only one likely to do anything

What's worrying is the amount of pressure we have Sunderland under but cannot create a clear cut chance.

  • Young our best player today

Decent period of possession and pressure now. Just need to create a few more chances.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,831 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

Evans is not good enough, he makes Smalling look class in my opinion. Chris is doing well today, so far. Herrera & Young playing well too.

Di Maria and Falcao, I dunno... I just don't know.

Come on Utd. Come on Rooney!

35year old Wes brown has falcao in his pocket and zipped tight up so far.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,500 ✭✭✭Your Airbag

    Slow, laboured and uninspiring.

We seem intent on making every game hard for ourselves and easy for the opposition to set up against us.

The nerves will kick in as Sunderland continue to sit back and counter and try to nick a goal like Southampton did.

His pace (or lack of) is making Wes look like Usain Bolt so far. Cue a Falcao goal now of course.

Why can Di Maria beat the first man with a cross?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,999 ✭✭✭FourFourRED

Tough to break them down when they have so many players back crowding everyone out but still no excuses to be wasting so much possession.

This could actually be 3-2 and not 0-0

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Javier Hernandez would have been tapping that in.

  • Lovely from young

Fs falcoa get in the six yard box

Excellent play from Young, shame not a single player attacked near post.

Falcao was on way to toilets when young was crossing in that first ball there.
