Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

His pace (or lack of) is making Wes look like Usain Bolt so far. Cue a Falcao goal now of course.

He never had electric pace but he looks a lot slower now than he used to. Knee injury coupled with the fact that's hes likely several years older than his passport claims.

Just a matter of time until United score now. Same old Sunderland.

They are doing ok. Look very solid. They are dropping deeper in fairness.

What a waste of money Di Maria is

    Terrible pass.

Looks like Januzaj will be on in the second half.

Poor stuff again from Utd. Young the best of a bad lot really. You'd still have to think that utd will have the majority of the play again in the second half though, so hard to see them not scoring at some point although they'll need to create a bit more.

Only saw h last 10 mins. Sunderland parking the bus.

Weird, was just thinking that. He would definitely have scored a lot more if he got the chances Falcao has had.

Looking at the deep chat LVG and Januzaj were having, I wonder will he be coming on, for ADM maybe

Or feck it, time for a goal, maybe just bring Fellaini on

Imagine last June saying Ashley young would be better than angel do Maria.

    You'd be lobotomised.

Di Maria's head isn't in it at all. He's probably already imagining himself in a PSG jersey

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,292 ✭✭✭Adamocovic

A lot of ball as usual and the final third hasnt been up to scratch. The worrying this is that if United cant make the most of the ball they have been sloppy at times and given Sunderland decent chances, going to be close to call this one!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,779 ✭✭✭✭jayo26

Scream about formations all you want and scream about philosophy too but it simply comes down to tempo in my opinion united are keeping possesion because they playing slow but speed the ball up a bit and take some risks in my opinion it would make a work of difference. Sunderland should be on the back foot from speed not given a chance to organize their defence.

Bitterly disappointed with Rooney again today.

He's been very poor all season. Seems to go unnoticed though.

    35??
Sunderland had 1 or 2 half chances but that was it. They sat back for the rest
our two strikers void of movement
    Di maria so wasteful

United will get a penalty in the second half, Rooney takes it and scores, United win 1 nil.

    You heard it here first.

Why are you disappointed with him and not , say, Falcao or Di Maria. Rooneys been on the ball a few time snad played a couple good passes. But No one is giving him or Falcao the ball where it counts. Mind you Young more or less did but Falcao gambled on the cutback (Stupid imo)

EDIT: Just saw who I was replying to. Nvm

Flulaoacao needs to gamble on the tap ins more often. Young couldnt have done more to set him up earlier

Iv made a point of watching him . He is making loads of runs and not getting service and is resorti g to dropping in to get involved . If anything hes trying too hard. Pundits on setanta also noted it.

  • dor843088 wrote: »

Moving into defenders and loosing posession isn't the type of movement that's positive

And hes just doesn't make the decisive movement that's required in the box

Young played the ball into the danger zone multiple times and he wasn't there

    Not good enough

I am disappointed with them all. But with Rooney being the captain I'd expect a bit more from him in terms of trying to make things happen.

Everybody is criticising Falcao and Di Maria ( and rightly so) but Rooney seems to get away with it.
