Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Advice on CCTV video playback software

I have a cheap analogue 4 camera CCTV system.

Currently the only way I can look at the different security issue clips I have saved onto a USB is software called ifileplayback, reading the dot irf file format.
the iCMS software that came with the DVR, version 1.3.1 won't access the DVR so I can only playback on the screen connected to the DVR or through a app called iDVR on my iMac.

I had a few repeated issues last night, all of which are on the USB and I showed them to the guards this am and they need copies on a DVD in a format they can use. The image quality is good enough as the security lighting did its job.

    So two questions:
1: How can I convert the dot irf file format to something more usable?

2: I am going to upgrade the DVR to an an 8 channel or perhaps bigger.

The wiring is RG 59 and Cat 5 for power.
Am reluctant to digital as the house is a bungalow, am reluctant to put expensive kit low down.

Any suggestions on kit that has good software?
    Thanks.

Have you tried playing them on VLC player?

Have a look at the HIKvision DVRs. Good value for money.

    1, no, will do.
2, thanks, is it direct import?

    1, no, will do.
2, thanks, is it direct import?

Idas and Osec would be two places that supply this equipment rather than importing.
