I'd love it if Vince decided to put Paige & A.J Lee vs. The Bellas on last at WrestleMania and then put over Mrs. Brooks like a tonne of bricks. It would be a great "taking it too far" happening.

Apparently Eva Marie is off the European tour including Dublin as she is actually training to wrestle. She is training with Brian Kendrick and the Santino Brothers in California.

Credit where it's due, the pushup taunt by Nikki Bella is great. Great heat getter.

    - PWInsider has confirmed that Tamina Snuka will making her WWE return soon. Tamina is expected back in time for the European tour that begins on April 9th in Newcastle, England.

The idea six months ago I heard was that Tamina would be Sasha Banks bodyguard.

Why has she been off camera so long?

Tamina must be sick of the bodyguard role

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 468 ✭✭bobby_says_hi

The bodyguard role is suited to her because, while she has good character and presence, she's not really good enough in the ring to be a top heel on her own. We did see some of her best stuff when she was AJ's bodyguard

I hope that this week is an indication that Naomi is getting a title push. She really deserves it. And after the downright diabolical performances from AJ lately, it's time to have some new blood in the title picture. Naomi vs Charlotte could be quite the feud as well

Apparently Cameron and Rosa have been removed from the S4 Total Divas cast. This could be good news for Cameron, as it'll allow her to go back down to NXT and train full time.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 18,583 Mod ✭✭✭✭DM_7

If you want to have a more serious division then Naomi needs to remove her ass to face moves. They are everything that is wrong with Divas.

Also disagree on Tamina, she is wasted as a body guard only. remember as AJs bodyguard she did most of the wrestling just ended up losing/taking pins which made her look like nothing.

Tamina's pretty poor at everything else though. I was genuinely hoping she wouldn't come back solely so I wouldn't have to see her opponents sell being hit with her jacket. That spot annoys me a lot and it happens near the start of every single match she has.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 18,583 Mod ✭✭✭✭DM_7

Maybe i need to pay more attention then.

as it goes i don't thing Sasha needs a bodyguard. If she ends up with one it points to more ****ty booking of female wrestlers.

She is very bland, think because she is quite ripped and doesn't look like a standard diva barbie doll, people over estimate her ring ability. Zero charisma as well.
I'd honestly go as far and say, she would have been binned if she wasn't related to The Rock.

That's a bit **** as I liked AJ. I wonder how much heat punk will take from her fans who will blame him for her retiring. I suppose like edge she got to go out on top winning at mania. That's something.

    Retiring undefeated at Wrestlemania.

I liked AJ but it seems like a good time for her to go, she's been fairly occasional for a while now and there's not much more for her to achieve really. I liked her in NXT and she's had a very good career since. A likeable girl too from what I can tell.

I've a feeling like,I say a lot of wrestling fans have that there's more then meets the eye hear. I don't believe she has just retired, because she has achieved all she could with the WWE,I do think there was still more for her to achieve.

She's a big loss for the WWE Divas division and was only recently tweeting about giving the divas a chance. Like I said there's much more to this story to still come out.

Well she was the longest reigning divas champ in history and held it three times and was raw GM and was fairly involved in big storylines and her and Ziggler and big E was superb stuff. Honestly though what else could she have achieved ?

Bring back Mickie and Maryse I say. For no real reason other than I liked them.

With regards to Tamina, I don't see a real point in bringing her back. She was never that exciting to be honest. Although credit where it's due that 3 week push she had a few years back when she has the match at Elimination Chamber with Beth Phoenix was decent enough. Maybe a babyface turn?

AJ Lee. Big loss to the division in my opinion. I don't think she was as good a wrestler as she was a personality but she was still capable of turning out a decent match if she wanted it. A Naomi v AJ match from NXT iN 2010!!

    http://youtu.be/TG-biPOCyeo

Ignore the inane Cole commentary but showed that she was capable of pulling it out

Breaking WWE's 90 day no compete clause?

    TNA?

    Ajay Leigh?

Feel weird commenting on AJ Lee until we hear her side of the story - her book could be REALLY interesting. Meltzer made it clear on Wrestling Observer Radio she was dealing with as much **** backstage over Punk as you'd expect. It was a very toxic and unfriendly environment. To the degree that you wouldn't blame her for being mentally and physically checked out. Going by Meltzer she quit/retired midweek. WWE were unaware hence they shot a new feud/put her over on Raw. Fair play to her if she worked WWE into giving her one last Wrestlemania payday.

Personally wasn't a fan of her for most of her career. Liked her on NXT but her WWE run didn't do much for me with the "geek" stuff, the head tilt, condensing smirk and way of talking. Disliked the online debates should she would inspire (not on here) whether it was her One Directioner type fans or people calling those attracted to her paedos and that leading to message board back and forths. I hope WWE shelves all the crazy girlfriend/lesbian storylines associated with her and moves towards the muted new direction in presenting WWE women.

AJ Lee is getting grief online for not putting anyone over on the way out. But I am going to given a pass on that. She put over Paige on her debut. Despite how the feud didn't click in the ring the AJ Lee/Paige feud did help establish Paige at best or gave something for Paige to do at worst. She also low key passed the torch to Bayley over Wrestlemania Weekend and in her Raw appearance.

Reading into social media can be kind of silly as simply other members of the roster could have just said their goodbyes in private. Also given the weirdness of the situation Tweeting about AJ Lee maybe get heat. People in WWE knew she was in a rough spot but the consensus was that she did "change" from whom she was in FCW. Very rude and into herself essentially. There were complaints from fans about her attitude at WWE Axxess last weekend. Lee was the only person who walked around with private security accompanying her. Even Paige walked around Axxess freely on her own.

For whatever reason and even before CM Punk she rarely did non-wrestling Diva stuff like photoshoots, PR or charity work. This lead to resentment from some Divas and Superstars. Practically speaking those things are a few hours less in bed. She rarely worked Live Events either. People like the Bellas and Paige did all these things so it wasn't like AJ Lee earned a "main eventer" perk. Obviously some of this resentment played out that promo Nikki Bella cut two weeks ago on Smackdown.

Personally don't feel too bad about her as she will earn a mint on the convention circuit even if she never does anything with WWE again. Either one her own or as a package with CM Punk. She has an extremely passionate fanbase and 1.8 million Twitter followers to commericalise. Even if CM Punk gets battered in his UFC fight in will have at least one last PPV pay off. Along with that CM Punk paid off their current apartment home in cash in 2010. So both are set up for a nice life. The only thing that may derail that is that lawsuit with the WWE doctor which may financially drain them.

Can't say I'll miss her or see myself wanting to revisit her main roster work. Maybe she will be associated with a bad period for WWE Divas with the likes of Bayley, Becky, Charlotte and Sasha waiting in the wings. Along with the likes of Nikki Bella working hard to improve and even Cameron is showing progress.

Don't really see the case for that. Not in ring and her character made things worse/more dumb.

Layla needs to last another month:

    CCMSlRHW0AEED-X.jpg
The median length of a WWE career for these 46 women - meaning half were above and half were below - was 57 months, or 4.75 years. As of April 7, 2015, the two longest tenured women in WWE since 1995 have been Victoria and Layla (both at 101 months, or 8.42 years), followed by Terri Runnels (98 months, or 8.17 years), Natalya (84 months, or 7 years), and Torrie Wilson (83 months, or 6.92 years). Barring a release within the next month, Layla will probably surpass Victoria as the longest-tenured WWE Diva in history.
