whats better Banshee, Sons of Anarchy or Justified

I heard all 3 shows are similar but only watch Banshee and love it, whats the best of the 3?

I watch(ed) all three and IMO it's Justified.

SOA kinda dragged on a little bit towards the end and Banshee seems to have plateaued, just my opinion though.

Banshee. I've only watched a few episodes of the other two, but they didn't grip me the way Banshee did watching the pilot.

Justified by about ten miles in my opinion. Banshee is good for a laugh, even though i don't think its a comedy. Sons of Anarchy started out good, then turned into a load of wind and ****e.

Haven't watched banshee or soa...but they would have to be great shows to be at the level of Justified. Superb stuff

Wouldn't agree they're similar.

Banshee is a lot of fun. I watched a few seasons of Sons of Anarchy but found it dragged and wasn't really all that well written yet hadn't got the sheer over the top insanity that something like Banshee has for balance. It's a little bland.

Justified is superb. It's a smart show and particularly noted for its razor sharp dialogue and wit, all delivered brilliantly. It doesn't have the intense action of Banshee and has a perfectly suited laid back pace (generally). It takes about a season to really get going but it's one of the best (and smartest) shows on TV.

Started off strong with a fantastic cast and just gets better every season.

SoA also started off great and again had a great cast but turned into utter crap about 4 seasons in. Seriously, when the show hits Ireland its time to stop watching

No comment on Banshee as haven't watched it.

You should it's brilliant, the story arcs usually last a whole season but it's great.. I introduced my housemate to it last week and he's already in the 3rd season.

Once they got involved with the IRA and Jax was after Clay i thought it started going down hill from there, can't remember what season.. but from then on i couldn't stand Jemma.

Banshee is great if you like fight scenes and mindless action, and of course really hot woman

I enjoy Banshee, it's like reading a good comic, It's all a bit ridiculous the way they crowbar the sex scenes in when the writers can't think of anything else to fill the time and that grates after a few episodes, no need from a story point of view for most of them (I'm definitely getting old) Some of the fight scenes are excellent, but you could imagine they were written by a 12 year old boy, lot of hyper realism in that show. In fact you could imagine a 12 year old could write it all.

Justified is nothing like banshee in my opinion, but If I had to choose between the two, Justified would win every time, one of my favourite shows in years, even though last year was a bit meh, I am enjoying the swansong season, it's just quality and no real contest between the two. Better acting, better script, better story arc, better characters etc etc. No seen SoA.

i havent got around to SOA yet, but of the other 2 Justified is by and far the better show, id recommend both shows, but for different reasons, i wouldnt recommend Banshee to the parents:D

banshee is over the top action sex and violence, the story moves along slowly enough, constantly getting side tracked with some pretty decent side characters who get some pretty brutal beatings, it is on skinamax after all

Justified doesn't have the privilege of being on cinemax, and its the better for it, more work goes into developing multi-season story-arcs, characters that have lasted 6-7 seasons, popping in and out, and ones that only lasted 1 season but are still remembered for various reasons,

Barring the first season, it's continuous story lines with one major arc per season and some other arcs spanning multiple seasons.

I love Banshee for a bit of light fun though. SOA went to sh1te after a couple of seasons.

You should only watch 'Justified' if you like excellent TV that will make the dialogue in most shows seem like something a child wrote.

Justified has the best dialogue on Tv I've ever heard. Also the best delivered and lots of it is funny as hell. My favourite TV show hands down. It's going to be sorely missed when its over.

That said Banshee is a hoot. Especially this 3rd season. Even more OTT than the previous two and all the better for it.

Didn't last past one season of SoA. Heard it turned to total muck.

I must say I liked banshee, it's a fun show with crazy ott fight scenes and the like. Well worth a watch. I found sons of anarchy very poor, wife loved it though so we ended up watching it until the end. The storylines are weak and the acting is also fairly questionable, in particular the main character Jax, he's just not credible IMO. It's extremely popular however, so maybe it's just me.

Haven't watched justified yet but I think I will based on this thread.

Banshee tops it for me for entertainment value. Excellent show, loving the cinematography of this season in particular, and each episode stands up well by itself. Justified would be a close second, very different show, but excellent nonetheless, and any episode with Waylon Goggins in it is worth watching. SOA, enjoyed it in the beginning, but it lost its way around season 3. The top-o-tha-mornin'-to-ya Irish angle pushed me away from it completely....

soa was good went crap no storyline after a while
banshee is like lost or something with the mysteries and the cool backstory stuff
+loads of fighting and naked people but its getting a bit less important to me to watch it on a saturday
Justified is class i sometimes listen to them talk without watching
the dialogue is that good only one i believe i might rewatch in 10 years

Son's of Anarchy was by far my favourite. It did get bad during the Irish season but I think it got back on track and really good after that.

Banshee is a close second for me.

Haven't seen Justified but might give it a go after reading what's been posted here. I'm caught up on everything so need something new.

Can only comment on SoA, it was really a mediocre show. After season 4 or 5 it was more of a task to get through it and I was never even really waiting for each season to come out every year like I did with BB or GoT, it was more of a "oh, SoA is back again. Guess I'll catch up with it when I've nothing else to watch".

The reason it wasn't as good as it should've been is it's just not the kind of story that can be pulled off justifiably on a network like FX. HBO, Showtime or Starz would've allowed for a lot more authenticity in the same way The Sopranos was so good. It's a small thing but a world where bikers don't even say "fuk" or see bear tits etc. isn't very believable. So much more could've been done with the story than the boring, pointless sh!t they went with in the later seasons. It just got sad and embarrassing to be honest.


I meant to watch Justified a while back but put it off and also heard good things about Banshee so hopefully will watch them in the future.
