Arsenal vs. Everton: Emirates Stadium 14:05 BT. Sport

A very interesting and crucial game in prospect as everton visit arsenal in what's certainly the most important game happening in London tomorrow.
Arsenal were nothing short of pathetic midweek vs a tactically superior Monaco side, while Everton made short work of Young Boys to be the sole EPL side remaining in the Europa League.
In fact such was the dominance of their performance Roberto Martinez could afford to withdraw Lukaku and mccarthy early in that game. Gareth barry and leighton baines also return for everton.

Meanwhile serious questions have to be posed for the gunners in the aftermath of that sickener, will Gabriel replace Mertesacker? will wenger keep faith with giroud, who was hooked after an hour on wednesday with his confidence visibly draining before our eyes. And will Ospina hold on to the keeper spot or is it time to bring back Woj.

Its not all bad news for arsenal, were undefeated in the last 17 home games vs everton, and we've won our last six at the Emirates. Meanwhile everton have six away defeats in seven.

my head says we'll see a rubbishy cagey gunners tomorrow, and the question is will everton use Europa to Build some league form.

Heart says We'll see a reaction from the gunners and a two nil home win.

My prediction is Arsenal 1-1 Everton.

In general though, I think Ozil and Sanchez will enjoy success in the Everton half while Coleman and/or Baines will also enjoy success in the Arsenal half. Their attack mindedness is why I feel today is a good chance for Ozil who has found good success against Everton since he has joined.

I think there'll be a lot of counter-attacking football so the pace of Walcott, Welbeck or the Ox could also play a key part.

If Howard plays, Everton won't win

Everton, one away league win since October. Can't see that changing.

    Fodder for Arsenal

Is it right that Arsenal haven't beat Everton since March 2012 at Goodison? I was thinking it would be an easy enough win for the Gunners until I saw that stat. Should still be a win though, Everton's away form is rotten and Arsenal are on a good run at home.

    2-0 home win.

Why would an Arsenal away stat change your opinion on an arsenal home stat?

Arsenal XI: Ospina, Bellerin, Gabriel, Koscielny, Gibbs, Coquelin, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Alexis, Giroud.

Very happy with that side, nice to see the ox starting again, feeling confident of an arsenal win.

Gabriel starting, good, Giroud starting, good, ospina, hmmmm I'd prefer woj.

The midfield is struggling against that Everton three. No surprise there so.

You watching it on HD them red things are seats not jerseys. Just found it odd as they usually sell out every game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Lots of unhappy fans after the mid week debacle.

London crowds can be very flat though

Giroud should of buried that :(

    Is Giroud the new Heskey?

Can't seem to buy a goal lately

    Ox is deceptively quick

Giroud can be so frustrating. We have such a dynamic fast paced attack but when it comes to him it nearly always grinds to a halt.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

I thought he did well to get onto the cross. Difficult chance

Difficult chance, but he done the hard part, and fluffed the finish.

Michael Owen doesn't seem to be too fond of arsenal.

    GET IN!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,116 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

Excellent tackle from Gabriel, and still we have Michael Owen drooling over Lukaku and only giving the tackle a cursory mention.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone
