Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There is a reset button on the controller. Quick google says it is on the back beside L2. Worth trying that first. Probably will have to pair it again afterwards by using wire to connect first time.

Could try resetting the controller? There's a small hole on the back with a reset button.

Anyone encountering problems with their controller disconnecting since the update?

Also had bad input lag but that might have been my internet.

Not disconnecting as such but I do get a bad dose of input lag when the battery goes around 1 bar, seemed to be an issue on the beta also, I had put it down to my TV, but having never experienced it before the update, and you reporting it I'm not so sure...

Anybody having issues with spotify since the update? If I'm in the app and playing a song, the usual rewind and fast forward buttons (l2/r2) are skipping through the playlist instead of the track playing? Everything is up to date but I've restarted twice and it's still happening

The quick menu is great now, a very nice update. They just need to add the ability to read and write messages from it and it'd be perfect imo.

I only use the phone app for messages. Text input is still cack on consoles.

320euro with Fifa 17 in Smyths not sure if offer available before Fifa launches or not..

  • Bit of a rambling mess of a video but regarding the mods:
Have Sony gave a reason for not allowing the mods. I read somewhere that it was down to Sony's proprietary codecs but I'm not sure it's the official reason.

    Why so?
    He made valid points.

In fairness he did say at the end that his new meds have made his head a bit of a mess so valid points or not, I'd agree it's a little more rambly and ranty than Boogie's normal videos.

But I agree, for the most part he made valid points. Only thing I disagreed with him on was giving out about Sony's QA controls and how No Man's Sky was apparently delayed because of it. Given the mess the game was at launch, maybe the QA controls need to be bolstered rather than removed, though work on removing a lot of the red tape to get them out quicker.

I know this is skirting the edge of untalkable subjects but I have a US PSN account and I went to go and buy the FFXV movie (first time I've tried to buy a movie from PSN) and it keeps telling me "This content cannot be selected at this time".

Anyone know if this is normal for PSN or are we in maintanence mode perhaps?

It was a whinge more suited to his Francis persona and as Penn said, it's down to his new meds.

    As he did that already
All down to his new meds...k

Tried this myself before, wouldn't work at all so it's definitely not a PSN issue, think the movies/tv shows must be region locked.

Does anyone know the standard warranty period for the PS4? Seems to be differing opinions online.

Mine keeps on ejecting the disk, about once every two days. I tried the usual fix but that's just a temporary solution.

Would this issue be a cause for return?

Imo you would have right to your machines disc drive not being faulty. Are you sure your not hitting off it or a cable hitting it

Yes it seems to be a common fault with earlier models. I bought it from Argos nearly two years ago; wouldn't be a bad time to get a credit note!

Does it happen when the controller is charging in a darkened room?

I don't think it's limited to certain circumstances, but I haven't tried it that way.

It's caused by the rubber disk seal expanding when the machine heats up which then makes contact with the eject button.

It's such an annoyingly simple issue but it makes the machine unplayable.
