Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dave Whelan handing over to his grandson.

I hope he continues the constant reminders of how his grandfather broke his leg in an FA Cup final. Wouldn't want anyone to forget.

It'll be interesting to see how somebody so young does in a major decision making role. I wish Dave Whelan the very best in his retirement, a great man imo. He has made a few gaffs in the media but he is 78 and these have all happened in his later years.

Also about his broken leg, I'm sure it bothers him a lot. Older Rovers fans have told me that he was a great one before the leg break as a 23 year old. Some reckoned he might have played for England had it not happened.

"The club reached the outstanding pinnacle of winning the FA Cup in 2013, and qualifying for the Europa League Group Stages, a personal wound healed for Mr Whelan after his career as a top flight footballer was effectively brought to an end in the 1960 FA Cup Final, playing for Blackburn Rovers. "

    Hasn't disappointed so far!
