Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Newbie seeking advice for DVB-T dongle antenna

I have just bought a DVB-T dongle that came with a small indoor aerial. It works great and I can pick up nearby aircraft. I have set up a feed to Flightradar and so get the Premium version for free.
I am now looking to get a better external antenna.
The dongle vendor www.jetvision.de offer one at just about €60 - more than twice the cost of the dongle.
So my question is whether it is worth spending €60 for a dongle antenna?
Would it greatly extend my reception range if I mounted it on a pole just above roof level?
    Opinions welcome please.
    Ger.

I use the dongle, not the best but does the job.

Get about 70NM range depending on height with the antenna sitting on my window cill. Looking to upgrade soon.

Roof level? Definitely, my range would probably double/triple if or when I do that.

    Dongle - €15
    Indoor Antenna - €30-€50
Planeplotter - €25? Was much better in previous years, had a couple of server failures I believe in the past number of months which has greatly reduced people supplying, especially in Ireland.

You get free FR24 Premium if you supply, but it is exactly the same. Just that it doesn't time out.
