Quandary

Amazing first half from Utd. Really great team effort, full of controlled aggression and desire. That being said, we need to come out and play at least as well in the 2nd half. The concentration amd pressing needs to be kept up because liverpool are going to come out swinging.

An early Liverpool equaliser could very easily lead to a loss in this game.

We have looked very impressive in that first half. Hope the lads can keep it up.

A win here would be incredible.

He's not good enough for any top half PL team. It's a similar situation to Clev at this stage, wouldn't look out of place at Burnley, Sunderland etc. Almost certain he will be shipped out this Summer anyway.

2-1 win is a brilliant result, but can't say the last 35 minutes or so didn't disappoint. Rooney had a dire game, topped off by a horrible penalty.

Very enjoyable! Not a perfect performance, we were very sloppy in the 2nd half, made a lot of mistakes and really didn't use the extra man at all, but we turned up with some pace and purpose today and that counts for a lot.

Rooney was awful, but he is still our best option up front so not really much point dwelling on it.

Woeful penalty. 3 points all the same. Liverpool and Arsenal to draw next week could see us vault in to third, or even second if City lose or draw. Incredible really.

I was disappointed with Di Maria's general play when he came on, assist aside he made poor decisions for the most part and gave the ball away a little too easily.

Brilliant first half, made it a lot harder for themselves than they should have but ****ing delighted. 3 points is a brilliant result.

Hard not to just lol at Gerrard and Skrtel was a bit sneaky as well.

Fellaini was really good again, bullied Liverpool in the first half, just like he did against Spurs and linked play up really well too. He was a great out ball when needed and thank **** for him for those set pieces near the end, where Utd seemed to be doing their best to hand the initiative back to a 10 man Liverpool.

Mata, what can you say, two brilliant goals and played great overall, although I think he may have given the ball away cheaply for the Liverpool goal.

- points were Rooney who was awful and Blind who was poor too.

Edit: Carrick just confirmed he gave the ball away so even better from Mata.
