How to close a Twitter account?

Not very tech savvy :o. I have two accounts and I want to close one. Trouble is the one I want to close has an e-mail address that is no longer valid and I can't even remember the password! When I do a search of my old account from my new one I can see all the details but I can't access the de-activate account tab. Anyone…
