Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    His 14th goal against us!!!!

His first league goal, his first league cup goal, is this the first time United and Arsenal have met in the FA cup in the Wayne Rooney Era?

Why are they all ignoring the fact that Fellaini hasn't got the pace to get to that ball before Kosc gets a block in?

Di Maria looks better this game. I love Keane's dismissive tone

Keane saying United have more threat going forward?

It's an entertaining game, fun as a neutral to watch, it's a prime example why English team are failing so badly in Europe.

Man Utd are pressing but Arsenal have played past it fairly regularly and the space in front of their defence is vast. The really great sides cut through that.

Arsenal are noticeably playing deeper out of possession but they still look frail at the heart of the defense, that goal they concede should never happen with that many players in the box.

As I said it's fast paced, it's entertaining but Man Utd in attack look so one dimensional and out of possession there are glaring weaknesses while Arsenal, flowing at their best, lack the real killer touch of a great team and are weak out of possession even with Wenger's altered set up. From that point of view, colour me unimpressed.

Roy is great, doesn't hold back.

Ya,its a breath of fresh air

Upsetting the BBC routine of "everything is great and we all have the same opinions"

I think we need to bring Giroud on for the second half. Wellbeck isn't holding the ball up well enough.

In patches, he has lost the ball several times...he is a great player but far from it at the moment.

I don't get this point. United and Arsenal are English in name only. Most of the players are foreign, as are their coaches.

Ah of course, after a decent half going forward LVG is going ultra conservative.

Anyway 2nd half Giroud on after 15 mins please Arsene

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Herrera on a card. Makes sense with the Arsenal midfielders willing to go on a dribble.

You already know it's going to be the 60th minute before Arsene even realises he has subs available !!

With Carrick Blind and Fellaini the threat through the middle is completely gone

I can assure you that games of such high tempo and physicality aren't as common in Spain where Cazorla, Ozil, Monreal, Di Maria ect. have previously plied their trade. Certainly the really great teams don't set up like this.

In any case I'm simply going to enjoy the spectacle and put that out of my mind.
