I really liked that ep, seems like Supergirl grew up with a few harsh realities, but more baddies please next week!

They manage to pronounce Siobhan's name correctly and they didn't give her a dodgy Oirish accent. Guessing she just has Irish parents or something which is why she doesn't have an Irish accent.

Are they not allowed to mention Gotham or are they going along the lines of how long it took to mention Superman by name?
And a Lobo reference as well

The last show afaik Sarah Michelle Gellar/Buffy was in, i think she was looking for her twin?
Her character was also called Siobhan, but when she shouted it out, it was pronounced 'Sho-ban'

But that's the last we'll see of Siobhan Smythe, maybe she's off to Perry White :p

Although, it could be the producers, with the name as often i see casting/exec producer name come up a lot - Grainne Godfree!

excellent episode. I must admit seeing Cat thrown from the building was very satisfying. She seems like a female Trump, a bit of a bully. They need to bring the Kryptonians back in the next few episodes, as a threat they have become a bit of a let-down.

I wonder will we see Indigo back soon with the Kryptonians?

I thought Lord was gonna be a real baddie

Lord would just be Lex light TBH
They need to be careful not to become just a gender swapped Superman

I did like seeing the close to previous media Angry SuperGirl

Really enjoyed that episode. Things are bubbling along nicely.

Anyone spot the subtle nod to the Superman love theme?

Only 3 episodes left this season, but the last couple of episodes have been very good. I'm delighted that Jeremiah might still be alive, because to have Dean Cain around more often would be epic, and also YAY...
    Banshee
    !

whoever thought it was a good idea to transport an alien prisoner in an unescorted lorry should be shot! i like flashback episodes where they also include a present day storyline- it kept this episode interesting. Siobhan arc is very strange

"Do you think they knew it was us?" - Ah, unless they're thick as sheit, they will, because ye took off your masks in front of 2 soldiers!

    Other than that, good episode!

    Little disappointed that the Flash
    doesnt exist in her world

Should be a fun episode regardless

Thought that as well, but I think Hank made them forget as well.
I didn't realise Kara knew how to ride a motorbike.

She doesn't need to ride. She pops it into neutral and pulls it along, impression of riding

Wonder if Hank and Alex are gone off to the spinoff show "DC Most Wanted"

There was another moment where Kara was revealing herself to Lucy Lane and I was thinking "Didn't Alex already tell her she was Supergirl's foster sister in the flashback scene?"

Also, how cringeworthy was Wynn's explanation for figuring out it was Siobhan who wrote the email?

Good episode overall though in spite of a few facepalm moments.

That would be disappointing. This article seems more hopeful that it will eventually get picked up though: http://www.bustle.com/articles/150289-cbs-supergirl-hasnt-been-renewed-yet-but-heres-the-one-reason-fans-shouldnt-lose-hope-yet

Another spinoff, who else is gonna be in this one?
Is it similar to Legends of tomoro?

I don't think Hank and Alex are going to show a named "DC's Most Wanted", as it doesn't exist. However, there will be a "Marvel's Most Wanted", an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff, which will understandingly, not feature DC characters.

Thanks, i'm not very versed in DC/Marvel, but i assume DC will want to hog the limelight as it seems to be all Marvel on tv;)

It'd be a shame to lose those characters to the show, let alone lose the show on what i'm hearing as 11 other shows got renewed, but i'd heard a while ago that CBS Boss Les Moonves that it will get renewed albeit it was a while ago he'd said it:rolleyes:

    Giddy fun. Loved it. :)

There was something very Doctor Who about the ending too.

That was class - good to see that Barry fits in perfectly with Kara's group. Greg Berlanti (the man behind Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow) really wants to do more crossovers with Supergirl and The CW-verse, so hopefully we'll get more of these crossovers going forward.

After being extremely disappointed with Batman V Superman, I'm glad to see at least the DC Television Universe is still getting it right...

yea fun episode. Pity the Irish girl went all evil- seemed a very quick transformation too and Wynn totally nonplussed about it!

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,501 ✭✭✭✭Slydice

In fairness to it, they didn't screw up the Irishness :) They even took the piss outta how Americans get the Irish accent wrong. They've also been pronouncing Siobhan right the whole time  :)

This episode really showed me how well and how good Grant Gustin & Melissa Benoist are and how well they have nailed the characters they are both playing.

The episode was so much fun

I enjoyed that crossover, of more to come i assume.
It was very funny to watch, albeit Banshee a big heavy on the make up & the way Flash+Supergirl settle fights, i was expecting to be a hell of a battle btwn Livewire+Banshee & not a washout ;)

    But overall it was enjoyable!
Talk about crossovers/pairings, i happen to find out that Banshee & Firestorm actors are engaged! :)

I haven't seen the film yet, but happen to be in Penneys today & some of the merchandise is almost 1/2 price+T-Shirts are tacky!

But good news: i hear Wonder Woman may be coming to Supergirl :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,014 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Clearly not realistic. Where were all the people with camera phones filming the fight? :)

Should I watch the new flash episode first or supergirl? ??

I watched Flash first so you kinda get the history to why he's there

I think next week's Flash might actually be the one that sort of overlaps with the Supergirl episode. But the Supergirl ep won't spoil the Flash one at all really.
