Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lamb's in the oven now and I'm wondering whether to pop out to buy some proper chocolate but all the shops are closed nearby.

The shop was devoid of eggs so I bought Butler's chocolates and ice cream. I feel a fatness coming me.

Well all of that plus delicious trifle means you don't need an egg anyway:).
    Enjoy!

Apart from the sad news of the death of my brother's elderly dog, it has been a pleasant Easter. Two eggs and a large box of chocolates received, but enough to keep me going :)

Why would you add anyone on Facebook that you never actually met?

I don't even know the guy. Yeah I won't add him.

Went on a first date yesterday :D had to travel to the big shmoke for it. We organised to meet at 12. We met online but I had confirmed she wasn't a catfish :P she arrived an hour late, to her embarrassment and my concern as I thought I was being stood up.

That was the first part of her bad first impression (in her words). She then promised to buy me lunch as a way to make it up to me, only for the place to be cash only so I paid. No problem in my opinion, I was happy to. She then dropped the food all over the floor and at that stage she was fit to go home :D but we laughed about it and the Greek guys were great about it.

We persevered and had a nice day walking around the shops. We sat in the Green and had a good chat. We spoke about everything and had a good laugh. We eventually found our way to a cafe down an alley way. Only for an ex of mine (four years, dogs, house together, the works) to walk by and come over all huggy. She mentioned about not being able to pronounce her name and only spoke to me.

We laughed it off and walked up the Liffey, had a few kisses and organised to meet up next week. She brought me Korean snacks too which was a bonus. I was beaming all last night. :D

Don't know why I'm sharing this here but it seems relevant to a singles thread.

Question: how does a person make their accent more neutral? :D she found it the most difficult of all Irish accents.
