God that was awful. No direction out there for that.

    Just not good enough

    Leinster are bloody dreadful, again.

15+ phases of battering ram stuff and zero incision. The entire time the Scarlets' line speed making it really difficult to get any width on the ball.

    Lot of space behind them!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,619 ✭✭✭✭errlloyd

Why do they try that pass. I don't understand why the coach hasn't told them to not make those stupid bloody choices.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,529 ✭✭✭BoardsMember

    Poor by Kirchner.

Look like we're retreating into ourselves again.

We were going forward though, you just knew that mistake was coming

Again we're just crying out for someone in the half backs to find space in this game. Still think we're looking capable of winning this one though.

Reddan made the most of that. Surprised it was given.

    Reddan, that is embarrassing.

It's unrealistic to think that we can put together 20+ phases of mistake free rugby repeatedly.

We might make some ground, but we wont be scoring tries by repeatedly knocking on the door!

Well Warren Gatland has built a career on the idea that it is possible.

However Gopperth or Reddan shouldn't be taking us that deep through the phases.

You'd have to think if we're producing this many mistakes with conservative attack what would we be like after introducing some complexity

So Reddan just dived......I thought rugby purists get all up in arms over things like that!!

Horgan giving coaching advice on air to Easterby. I dunno, when he is the studio should just keep it neutral imo.

    So poor.

Didn't look like the jackeler was supporting his weight either.

    We
    can't though!

    That is an appalling call.

Just brutal, very very annoying, can't finish their dinner

    Butchered. Wrong pass from Gopperth.

It was more difficult NOT to score there.

Still, we need to have patience and give MOC time. This is just one game. And there are the signs that it is all coming together and they are starting to get the feel of the game he wants them to play.
We are on the up and great days ahead.

Look for example at how he has brought Kirchner up a level. He can now comfortably be considered a poor Pro 12 player when the big boys are in international window duty. Which is quite a step up from where he was before his Leinster days. So credit to MOC for that.

Edit : Edinburgh trouncing Treviso btw. 17-3 coming to half time.

So he said. Twice. I dunno, would we be happy if a Welsh pundit was saying "have you noticed all the space behind the Leinster back 3?". Maybe it's OK?

    Ugh, superb finish

That's a lovely try to be fair.

If given, that's a fantastic finish by the Scarlets.

Who'd have thought there would be space in behind eh!?

Shocking shocking shocking, beyond despair at this stage! And they are putting up the price of the season tickets for next year, for this???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,720 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

One of the best teams we've ever put out in a 6N Nations window.

    Still crap..

Going from a certain try 5m out to this...

    Leinster are a ****ing joke.

    Great finish, in fairness.

Going to be a bad weekend for the provinces.

    We are TERRIBLE.

Scarlett's surely are going to chase the bonus now. Disaster for Leinster and Connacht if it keeps going this way.

Well, if there was space....dont see the issue.

I'd love to see stats on metres made by phase for each side today.

Lovely try, Pittman's had quite an impact since coming on

Indeed, and take Sexton out of any team and it will be noticed. MOC doing a fine job.

Too easy now for Scarlets. They'll win without having to do a whole lot.

    Scarlets 20 - 13 Leinster
    67 minutes.

No right to score that try, just strength and doggedness to get him there.

Yeh. Who runs their marketing. What an own goal sending out season ticket renewals before the announcement of a new coach. Talkabout killing your market and turning away the loyal fans.

If it was a coach I think it would be a bit different, Easterby is hardly going to run up to matt and tell him what shaggy said on commentary
